Recently I went in to register my car here in Florida. I had gone online to the Florida website and researched personalized license plates. In NH I had C***NUT. Reluctant to give up my plate I decided to try for it here in Florida. You can check the availability of a license plate online here in Florida. I was disappointed to find that the plate was not available. When I went to the registry to register the car I mentioned it to the clerk. I had a few other choices in mind that I would try for. She checked the availability of my first choice and found it is available. I was delighted. It seems that you can reserve a plate but have to purchase it within a year. If you do not purchase within a year it again becomes available. An early birthday present for me!!

Ken, That crossed my mind but in my business it was not a good idea!! I could just imagine that plate in the parking lot of a facility that deals with mental health. I did check out Crznut2 as a second choice but C***nut was available so I took it.

In Quebec, we only have rear plates, so our front plates can be anything we want. I have one of those misspelled plates from St. Maarten that says "We Be Crusin".
I'd love to find one that says "I'd rather be cruising!"
RD here in FL I only need the rear tag. So I will be shopping around for something apropriate for the front.

My tag on my truck is a U.S.M.C. tag. They offer all the services I think, however, Marine Corps was the 1st to be offered. As small as the Corps is, it's amazing how many of the Marine Corps tags you see. We are a proud brotherhood.
When the lovely Mrs. Jones (Vita) had a new Corvette, I got her the tag that said "Vita", but after trading the Vette in, she didn't keep the tag. Maybe I'll surprise her next year, and get the "Vita" tag again for her new Honda.
Laura.
Go to the Jimmy Buffett web site and get a Margaritville, Save our Seas plate for the front of your car. We have it on the our cat too.
My hubby has his Ohio State tag for his truck
We also have a vanity plate that reads... Trekker F/X

Carole, I am having the tag made up on the "Helping The Sea Turtles Survive" plate. I think your idea would be very apropriate. I will definately check it out. Thanx.

Cruznut, that's great that you got the personal plate name that you really wanted. When I got my FL driver's license, I wanted a special tag too so I selected one of the MANY types that FL offers. Since I am certified in SCUBA, I chose the "Protect Our Reefs" with the diving flag on it. Well, I have a combination of letters that spell absolutely nothing (the state chose them, not me)....lol. I can't tell you how many times I'm asked...."So what does THIS spell?".
Dunno, never saw that word in any Friday morning spelling bee's in my grade school...
