I assume all of you are hungry for a pizza. So I better tell you where this store is. It is in the city of Port Louis on the Island of Mauritius. Along with the location I will give a brief on the location.
The Island was discovered by the Portuguese in the wake of Vasco da Gama's trip around the Cape of Good Hope in 1498. Mauritius has a colonial history and has experience four changes of "ownership" and name. In 1598, the Duch came to the island and named it Mauritius after Maurice, the Prince of Orange and Count of Nassau. They introduced sugar cane, African slaves, tobacco and in the process of colonization destroyed the forests of precious woods thus changing the natural fauna and flora of the island. During their time, the Dodo, a native flightless bird became extinct. Then the French came and claimed the island for France and began their first settlement in 1721. In 1810, during the Napolionic Wars, the English took over the island. With abolition of slavery in 1835, indentured workers were brought from India to work on the sugar cane fields. In 1968, Mauritius was finally granted independence. I thought this brief history would help you understand the Island. They have a beautiful city in Port Louis.
