Default Did You Eat A Peep Today?

Those wacky wild little peeps, that I love so much, are just getting more famous every year! Today I saw some of the entries in the Washington Post Peeps artistic diarama contest. Some are just wonderfully funny, and the winner, so creative! Look at :www.washingtonpost.com, also go to, this site to see another Peepingly good site!

David Ottogalli (Peeps artist)
www.peepsshow.com ....make sure you type an extra s in this url:)

To let you know just how serious Peep lovers are...I once answered the call of our own northern Neighbor, Rollerdonna. Montreal seemed to have an unusual shortage of peeps, one year, and, since I live in an overpopulated peep area, [they breed like crazy in CVS's, shhhhh] digilently trooped to the store, packaged some up, and without regard of the costly postage, sent then swiftly over the border!!! Job well done:):)

We eat them, fresh, stale, who the heck cares!! Tomorrow, drugstores & supermarkets all over the world will begin the markdowns, 50-75- 90 % off. Yes, Yes. YES.

I will fill my cart to the brim, yellow, pink and, yes RD, even PURPLE, eat your heart out;):)

Ahhhhhhhhhhhh, the sweet life:):)

No! I did not eat a Peep today!
Once again, I could not find any this year, I don't think they like the cold.

I still remember the thrill of getting a care package of Peeps from you Trip, that was very special!

I might just go on the lookout for them tomorrow, maybe Wal Mart might have them, at 50% off too!

RD, with all the snow that you have had, the peep stork probably couldn't get to your stores.
And I agree that peeps are yummy no matter if they are fresh or stale! Haven't eaten one yet. Granddaughter hasn't been here yet to open her goodies!

I had trouble with both sites. I had to register and sign in to the Washington Post, in order to see the Peeps page, and all I got was a blank black page.
Then when I tried the Peep Show one I only got an XXX site, and a "not available" page!
Darn, I wanted to see the Peeps!

I keep trying, but it stays black and although it says it's loading, the percentage marker is not moving. I can't wait all night!

Peeps alert! Peeps alert!
My son just came home from Easter dinner at his girlfriend's grandmother's house, and they gave him a little treat bag full of Easter goodies. Guess what was in the bag? PEEPS!! 3 little adorable, scrumptious PEEPS, 1 yellow and 2 PURPLE PEEPS!
He doesn't like them, so they're MINE, all MINE!!
I am HAPPY now!

In my list of "hideous" candies, Peeps are ranked number 2. They are just behind Candy Corn. I personally cannot stand Peeps and feel that a total Peep extermination should be done.

There is only one problem: Peeps are indestructible. Archaeologists from the 32nd century will unearth remnants of our culture and conclude that we were wiped out by little yellow pieces of corn syrup. Hopefully, the unearthed Peeps will be put into a nuclear storage cannister and shot into the sun to finally end their reign of terror on the human race.

Remember:

This is your brain:

This is your brain on Peeps

Take care,
Mike

Sadly, I had no peeps. My daughter loves them, and if she were here I'm sure there would have been a vast array. My neice got some and she said she would share with me, but didn't. O well, I guess I could go searching for some when I venture out for toilet paper we are down to our last roll...

Ever try a peep smore?

SOOOO good. they can be kept fresh until the campfire and cooked on the open fire and then put between two graham crackers and Hershey's chocolate.

There are every kind of Peep out there. Some aren't even Peeps. Pumpkins, bats, ghosts, Turkeys,Christmas trees, Red, White and Blue things, and of course..yellow, pink, blue, green, purple, red, orange and probably some color I missed Peeps.

there was a episode on The Food channel, Unwrapped, where Peeps are made...Funny...no matter what they look like, they are still called Peeps...

For Judy and Delf, Peeps are the little marshmellow treats, usually come from 3 to 12 in a package. they are covered with a colored sugar and are made for just about every holiday now. I still remember them as a child only for Easter andthey had little yellow chicks 4-5 in the box. They are in most grocery, drug and outlet stores, even Dollar stores have them. I hope tomorrow they have some left because I cna't get out today.

After work on Monday when I got home I tore into the package of peeps that I didn't put in the Easter baskets and I ended up eating almost all of them and there were 12 in the package!!!! And, now there's another company making something similar and they all look like different farm animals -

have you seen the ones at Christmas that look like gingerbread men?!

and, I want to say I saw (I think) at St Paddy's day some like shamrocks
but I could be wrong on that
