Sleepless here in Lakeland too. Worrying about Patty. Did not get a call from her care giver last night. I decided against calling her. I thought they might be busy at the hospital. She also has her family to tend to. I know she would call me if anything happened. I will call in the morning. Work for me today as usual. I hope I can stay awake.

The sun was starting to peak thru, but a quick glance out the window reveals a heavily veiled sky...I thought the rain was going to hold off until later.
In a little bit I am supposed to meet a friend to go for a walk. The first of the season, but now the skies look pretty threatening. Hopefully it will pass.
After the walk, home, shower and off to work. Today wil be a long day as I really have not spent much time in the office this week.
Today is not good jaw day, but I think maybe the dampness plays a part in it.
Laura - I hope you get news of Patty soon
Luannne- I heard they have alread cancelled 900 American Flights today with more probably coming. If you fly out I will consider it a miracle. Wishing you the best!
Nothing very exciting here to share so I shall sign off, Good day to you all!
Good Morning all!!! It is definitely April showers time here in South Jersey. Marj and I went to Home Depot last night to get manure for our flower beds. I griped "Isn't it enough that I get *#&$ all day at work without having to pay for it at night?
Laura best wishes and prayers for Patty.
Everyone have a great day!!! Here is a picture, but please bear with me when I do not post one, it means I am very busy shoveling the aforementioned manure at work.

Good morning from sunny Florida! Doug thanks for the nice picture!
I am up early as I am stressed again. Today MD has to see the doctor to get some meds for the next 6 month. I am also thinking to maybe take the grandkids to UNiversal or maybe next month to Disney. They are going to their dad for a whole 2 month in KY now thats a bit too long for this grandmother
Our grandson loves spiderman so Universal would be good. WE shall see
WE invited our oldest daughter to come with us to RI end of June if her work permits her to leave this long. She is excited as she has not been there in many years.
Or maybe we just go to Ikea saturday now thats a grand idea!
Good Morning All, wish I could say it was sunny here in Ks but it's not to be for at least several days!! Today when I left for work in the dark, windy, cold rainy morning - I thought to myself, " Why can't it be Spring?"
The calender says it, the stores say it but Mother Nature is not behaving herself!!
We are to have rain thru Sat and then possibly have snow mixed in on Sat. The weather forcasters are predicting better weather next week but we'll have to wait and see.
To all that need prayers - you have them!
To those having great weather - sun and hi temps - enjoy and think of those of us who've not been able to enjoy as of yet!
And as always have a great day and a better tomorrow!!
Hi Kids,
Going to be around 70 today. I hope they didn't lie to me:) I am off for some beads today. I need to make a Lucy bracelet to add to the Aiden bracelet, that my daughter wears.
When I win the lottery, I want to hire a cook, because I am sick of making suppers, I look in the freezer and sigh..that again? Cruisemates, tell me what's for supper in your house, maybe I can steal an idea...
Nolou, did you get my pm?
Make it a good day.

Morning All, from Montreal, where the sun is shining despite the fact they forecasted rain. Yesterday it was supposed to rain all day, and we only got a few sprinkles last night. Looks like it might be the same today, but at least the snow is melting. Finally!
Laura, keeping my fingers crossed for Patty.
Jen, hope you are feeling better.
Luanne - good luck!
Doug, thanks for the photo!
Here's another one of St. Lucia, it's the only part I remember of that horrible day!
Bright sun shine that was warm when I went for a walk. We need some good hard rain though and did not get it yesterday as promised. Very busy with work. Will have a meeting tonight as well. Dinner? I think a frozen pizza, or they can just "figure it out".

Trip I am making stuffed peppers tonight. I bought 2 orange,2 yellow and 2 red ones. I use ground chicken, sauce and rice. Plus we use extra rice on the side since MD loves rice. Last night I made lamb chops with mango couscous. Enough ideas?
It's sort of a blah day here in the Land of 10,000,000 newly returned Canadian geese.
I'm just sitting here in my dinette watching the geese flyover. I also watched our local eagles cruise by at eye level. The eagles are on nest again this year, so there will be a couple more "young uns" to sit on my house and take a crap. They're like winged elephants when they do that.
Seriously: They are beautiful to watch and I have my spotting scope on the nest so I can keep tabs on them.
Not much on the agenda for today, other than a bit of housecleaning. I sure have a bit of the wanderlust in me but I must remain here.
Trip: Dinner tonight is probably going to be leftovers but last night I made a leg of lamb and it was quite good. Just season the leg with garlic, fresh rosemary, fresh chopped mint, white pepper and salt. Then sear it, on all sides, in a large fry pan with olive oil. Place it on a broiler pan and dump the oil and contents of the pan on top of it. Put it in the oven, at 275 degrees until its internal temp is 140. (couple of hours) Use the pan drippings and some stock to make a gravy and you're set to go. Just don't overcook the lamb and wait at least 15 minutes after you take the leg out before you slice it. It will be good!
I think a cold lamb sandwich sounds good for breakfast.
Take care,
Mike

Good morning from, soon to be sunny, Virginia Beach! Today it is expected to climb into the 70's today and stay warm throughout the weekend. Have a great weekend all; not much is planned for us, just finishing up our taxes.
Good morning from a very sunny Southern California. Should be in the 80's today.
First of all, Laura, I hope you get good news about Patty.
Trip, we had teriaki steaks last night with rice and mandarin oranges. We had stuffed peppers one night this week, too, but my recipe calls for hot or mild sauages. The sauce is made of muenster cheese, onions, and garlic.
Doug and RD, I loved your pictures.
Well, yesterday, I was excused from jury duty for another year. Took half the day to do it, but I am relieved, because it also means that the trip to celebrate Keith's birthday is safe. When the judge and four attorneys heard that I was contagious, they couldn't wait to get rid of me!
The staph infection rages on. The antibiotic makes me nauseated, but the Dr. urged me to keep taking it, since it will kill the staph at some point. I also must cancel about six weeks worth of manicures and pedicures.
Everybody have a nice day. I hope to get out and enjoy the beautiful weather.
Hi CMs, Its past noon but we got all the errnads done this morning, now I can relax a little.
Trip, we will be trying out our new broiler/rottisseri tonight with a chicken. We think chicken tastes the best on a rotiserri. But I do agree, I am getting tired of planning dinners. I am lucky because Ellis likes to cook and he can whip up some different types of meals, and I ain't complaining if he wants to do it!
Laura keep us posted on Patty. Prayers for everyone who needs them. Gotta run lunchtime! hummmm now what do I want...... PB&J!!!!
Thanks guys, I notated all the wonddrful suggestions, but I have to say, we don't eat lamb..Both of us never ate it, so therefore my kids never did either...
Sue, Judy, I never thought to stuf a pepper, with anything but hamburg & rice....food for thought<vbg>
Thanks all
yum!

Good afternoon all from sunny Florida. Perfect day out there right now!
Trip, I'm just throwing something together tonight for supper. Probably will include chicken and a weight watcher pea salad. All these dinner descriptions sound wonderful. YUM, I'm hungry already.
Laura, I sure hope you get news soon. I'm keeping patty in my prayers.
Welcome home Luanne. I wish I were home. Here in Virginia, the sun actually made a prolonged showing today, thus not a cloud in the sky right now (5:17pm). It was very foggy this morning. The ducks and geese have been flying over... so low you could use a net to scoop them up if you wished.
