OK, Ill take a guess ( don't make fun of me though!) Is it mount Etna? Probably not, but I'm guessing that it's a volcano, and I'm pretty sure of that.

Pat, I was going to suggest that too, but I couldn't spell Vesuvius.
I figured the spelling was safe on Etna.

The volcano in the distance is Mt Vesuvius. The picture was taken in the town of Herculaneum, Italy near the city of Naples. We viewed the ruins of the city caused by the eruption of Mt Vesuvius.
