It is Rabaul, Papau, New Guinea. We were there while cruising on Sky Princess. We had to wear face mask to prevent inhaling the Valcano dusk.
Very interesting place where the Japanese held and tortured prisoners. It was very important during WWII.

The city of Rabaul was completely destroyed by the Volcano erupting in 1994.
