Default California Cruisemates...Help

Do Manzanita trees grow all over the state? Do you guys have them in your back yards, like we have maples, & pine trees?

I suddenly have this desire to make a centerpiece from these branches, which I have seen on a design show. I looked online and they seem so pricey.. Any resources you can suggest, that I can buy a bunch and not break the bank? Thanks so much, for any info.

Oh my gosh--- a high school science field trip is flashing back to me--
No they dont grow all over the place-----I'm thinking slightly higher elevations----I know they grow in my local Santa Cruz Mts etc
I know that you can buy pieces at pet stores and I'm sure a few other hobbie shop type stores too

I'm sure you can find more info online somewhere----?
sorry my mind is drawing a big blank-----as for the science field trip--- no thats wasnt a dead rattle snake lying on the road--- it was alive and well sunning itself-----------now that I will never forget

cheers
April

April, !

Trip, they don't grow around here. Keith says in the mountains. I'd suggest going on line, too.

Perhaps you need to take a trip to the California central coast (santa cruz mountains) or perhaps the Sierras where they grow a plenty and cut yourself some.

Always looking for a reason to vacation right?

Perhaps a cruise that stops in SF or Monterey for the day !!

That reminds me of the fact that in the stores here in Texas, you can buy 4 pine cones for $10.00

They also like Big Sur (Near Santa Cruz as April pointed out).
Lassen Volcanic National Park, and Big Pine, California. To name a few.

For purchasing the branches these seem like the cheapest websites. You can get them sandblasted or with the natural red color. I like the red. I think Save on Crafts has the nicest ones at the best price.

That's nothing - I've seen our Texas green anole lizards sold in Alaska for $25 a head. Yee haw, let's round up them doggies and herd them to the railhead at Anchorage!
