Default Nice people

I just had to share something that happened in my life today..... my mom, my daughter and I all use the same hairdresser..... a sweet, sweet young man. Usually my mom and I go together as she no longer drives, but she has been homebound since mid-March due to diabetic foot problems. I went to get my hair cut this morning and right away he said he was cutting my daughter's hair this afternoon.

As we were talking I mentioned that my mom was dying for a haircut and I would call him as soon as she was cleared to get out. Bless his heart, he just said, "Why don't I run by her house after I get off today and give her a haircut?" He actually wanted to know if I thought she would MIND! So he is going to cut 3 generations of hair in one day.......

It all goes to show that there are wonderful, caring people everywhere you go.......

Our hairdresser is the same. She came to the hospital to cut my brother-in-laws hair when he was laid up. She did it several times, and didn't even want money for it. And she is a hot half-asian Scottsdale gal to boot. (is that sexist, sorry!)

Paul, maybe it was a little, kinda sexist, but the thought was good. We know you are just being appreciative.

What a great story. There are indeed still people in this world who still care, but sadly they get very little of the attention.

Thanks for sharing..

Yes, many hair stylists are like that! Those guys and gals put in long hours on their feet, not to mention all the extra time they spend going to hair shows, studying the newest cuts and products, etc. I'm not a hair stylist but I put them right up there with my nursing profession when it comes to dedication and long hours. Hats off to ya! (...think I need a haircut before I head to NC....gosh, I'm going to miss my sweet, little oriental gal "Berry".... )

I was a hairstylist for 14 years before I moved on. There are some very sweet people I worked with. Also there are programs out there like Locks of Love (donate hair for wigs) and Look Good....Feel Better (which helps women with cancer learn how to apply makeup and work with wigs).
