If you think we have the most modern laundry just think what these folks have!! I was there in the mist of the city of Bombay in 2001 and had to take this picture. Most all clothes in the city are washed here each day. How lucky can we be to live in this great country of America.

Great picture Ray! In a similar vein, here is one I took on St Lucia:

I recall playing football in a friend's backyard, as a child, and getting "clotheslined" as I went out for a pass! Urk! Boy! Those lines were invisible at dusk. Just think of the energy that could be saved if we hung our clothes outside again.
Cruised more times than I can remember.
Good people sleep peaceably in their beds at night only because rough men stand ready to do violence on their behalf.
Courage and perserverance have a magical talisman; before which difficulties disappear and obstacles vanish into the air.
Pick your company wisely! Hang around people who are going to help you become all God created you to be.
How ironic! The lovely Mrs. Jones (Vita) just had me install a clothes line out back, and we've gone back to hanging out most, if not all of our laundry. Sure smells better doesn't it, and it saves on the electric bill too.
I lived in Bombay....and it looked like that everywhere! The pollution was so bad your clothes smelled better when they were dirty. We had a laundry maid. I guess we had a dryer, I don't remember clothes hanging around the apartment and Mom would never let us wear clothes that smelled like their outdoors.
If you are going to walk on thin ice, you may as well dance!
