Default Registry Vacations - Internation Cruises & Excursions

Greetings,

A company called either Registry Vacations or International Cruises & Excursions (same company?) sells what they call "conceptual vacations". That is you pay now for some cruise and resort stay to be determined. I have done some searching but can find little about either company and except recruiting ads for their sales consultants.

Has anybody heard of either of these outfits and/or have any experience with them - good or bad?

Thanks

Default Registry Vacations

I've not heard of them, but my initial reaction is to run away, quickly. If I understand correctly, you pay this company up front for something you won't get until sometime in the future.

I've heard of them and they are legit but it isn't something I would put my money into.

Take care,
Mike

Hi - I booked a deal with Registry vacations.
I found that they have no resorts available at the times that I want at the locations that I want. And that they have horrible customer service. Their offices close at 5 pm and it is difficult to get a hold of someone.
And they are flying by the seat of their pants. These people have no idea what they're doing. They always say 'i'm not a booking agent. you have to call them.' or 'I'm not in accounting - you have to call them.'
They have been terrible!

unless you can be flexible and find a resort that they offer at the time when you want to go, you'll waste money on the resort part and it will be a wash.

PLUS resort doesn't cover food.
AND if you book the cruise first you have to pay for the entire package.
STAY AWAY!

Following a telephone blitz we managed to get suckered into this deal that sounded so good. The printed materials looked good when we received them within the cancellation period and the resorts all checked out well, etc. The problem was when you wanted to book they couldn't accomodate you when and where you wanted to go. Eventually, they did just refund our money.

International Cruise & Excursion, Inc. (ICE) is a trade mark name in Arizona. The corporation name is International Cruise & Excursion gallery, inc. This corporation does business under several DBAs including Registry Vacations.

The corporation International Cruise & Excursion gallery, inc. is a Delaware.

Here is the BBB report. International Cruise & Excursion Gallery, Inc. Review - TRAVEL CLUBS in Scottsdale, AZ - BBB Reliability Report - BBB serving Central, Northern and Western Arizona

Since this corporation operates in San Diego they are required to filed with SOS. California SOS has two listing under the name International Cruise & Excursion gallery, inc. One is Forfeit the other is Surrendered. Here is a link to search that information.
Business Search - Business Entities - Business Programs

Arizona SOS shows that International Cruise & Excursion, Inc. (ICE) is registered as a trade name and the International Cruise & Excursion gallery, Inc as the corporation name.

Under the corporation name Arizona gives you the best information. This Delaware corporation does business in San Diego and Scottsdale. There is no Delaware office. This link shows the officers of the corporation. If you click on the the annual reports they give good information as well.
Ariz. Corp. Comm. -- Corporations Division

A business with this many DBAs, revoked and forfeited SOS in California, and Incorporated in Delaware. I would not give this company a dime of my hard earned money. This was just a quick search. If I was really looking at this the company I would run the addresses for the San Diego and Scottsdale locations through Google maps and a reverse address search. I would also check the county records in San Diego county and the county website for Scottsdale. I did my searches all at home using only website available to the public. The company's websites listed the trade mark name at the bottom. That is what I ran through SOS and a yahoo search to find the other information.

If you click the terms of use on any website it gives you important legal information for the company. Ask yourself is it a corporation, LLC etc? Can I locate a physical address? How many DBAs are they using? Who are the officers? How transparent is the company? I hope that helps you guys.

Sounds a lot like time-shares.

No thanks

Default Nice company, no problems Registry Vacations

My brother and his wife used them and booked a cruise to Bermuda and later are going to Mexico to Cabo. Me and my wife used them and we booked Orlando in February so my wife can see what winter should be like. Then we are doing a Western Carribean cruise on Freedom of the Seas in April before the kids are all out of school. We had no problem booking and we got the room we wanted on the ship without paying any upgrade costs. We paid 75.00 a month till the package was paid off. When you book your cruise you do have to pay all the taxes and port fees up front. Then we could book anytime we wanted form just about every cruise line. If we had wanted to upgrade for about 200.00 more apiece we could so a 21 day cruise that ended in Holland. I will definitely book with them again.

We got messed up with Registry Vacations, sounded like a good deal but wasn't. Booked a cruise that was supposed to cost us nothing extra and ended up costing us over 900.00 in port fees and government taxes. For the money we spend on the whole deal we could of just booked that cruise ourselves and done it alot cheaper!

Default Unethical company

Hi Everybody,

I trust that you are all well. I am happy to 'meet' you all, I am from the UK.

I hope that this doesn't come across too much like sour grapes but I have a couple of comments about ICE/Registry holidays.

1. I, along with all of my companies in a cruise travel company called 1st4cruising in the UK have been made redundant 2 weeks ago. Our domain names, website, customer database, some office space were bought by ICE who also decided they didn't want to keep any of the long serving, excellent staff, hence the redundancies. They are now, only 2 weeks later advertising for 100 new employees to work out of an office space that our company used to lease, and some of these sacked staff used to be based out of. Whilst I am sure this company have covered themselves legally I see their actions as highly unethical, immoral and downright greedy.

2. If you do not already know this ICE products are TIME SHARE!!!!!! Avoid if you can or book with care.

Happy holidays to you all from the UK!!

Just FYI:

International Cruise & Excursion, Inc. is a perfectly legitimate company in Phoenix (scottsdale_ that does NOT sell cruises directly to the General public.

If anything, the other ICE "gallery" is trading on their good name. The priginl ICE fulfills cruise vacations for Ameeican Express travel agencies. Very legit. They are also provide cruises for people with REAL timeshares who want to get a cruise for their timeshare points. This is a real business, not a scam.

If anyone calls you directly and say they are from ICE in AZ do NOT buy what they are selling, especially if it involves buying a timeshare, etc. It is a shame a company would trade a legit company name like ICE Inc but it happens.

I just want to say that since I am on Epic cruising I won't be able to respond to this until the last week of March (3-26 + ) - but ICE in Phoenix is a legitimate company.

One thing they do is trade cruises for timeshare points - affiliated with RCI - on of the largest timeshare compnies on the world. I know directors of this company.

This is NOT one of those free-cruise scams or things wehere people promise you a cruise in exchange for joining a trael club, it is a legit way for timeshare owners to get a cruise.

I do not know if we are talking about two different companies or not - but I will be able to investigate once I am at home again.
