about 5 years ago my wife and i did a med cruise on a wee ship called the topaz it sailed from palma majorca to various places in europe we had a great time while on board we were told the topaz was being taken out of service to be scrapped imagine our surprise when we were boarding the norwegian star in vancouver bound for alaska when we saw the topaz sitting along side us it was renamed as the peace boat does anyone have any information on why it is called the peace boat and who owns it
