I am planning on watching it. I enjoy Sam's adventures.

I too enjoy Sams shows,,,especially the cruise ship ones. I'm still holding my breath waiting for Friday night to see the "Inspiration" show I missed the other night. I think someone posted that it would be repeated this Friday night. HOPE SO!

Trip, I saw it and I thought it was disappointing. I cannot understand why they focused on an old ship instead of one of the newer ships. I think they probably wanted to showcase the new waterpark features and the Serenity areas.

The thing that really disappointed me is #1 I know that DH and I will not be afforded the opportunity to have dinner at the captains table and holding a pleasant conversation and #2 I know that I will not be afforded the option of taking the dune buggy on my own individual adventure excursion if I didn't want to do what the group was doing.

Ohhhhhhh for the love of the camera and being on TV.

I'll look for the new travel show, Trip. I hope the one on the Inspiration is on tomorrow night, too, since I missed it last week.

I love Samantha. She has that girl next door look. Perhaps a little too girl next door. I think she or TTC are changing her image a little more and toning down the "perky and open mouthed awe" factor.

Whichever, she does a good job of showing a fun side of travel.

Just don't bring back the "10,000 Places to See Before You Die.". The two people on that one almost made me die from boredom.

Take care,
Mike

I agree Mike, Samantha has a way of telling you about great places, and sights, without sounding like a boring travel guide.

And about a 1000 Places, selecting that couple was a mistake, any one of us would have been way more interesting,

There is another show on called, Travel Fact or Fiction.....I still like the ORIGINAL Travel Channel better....remember Rough Guide? I liked that show, but could have doen without the subtitles, since they were speaking English;)

Trip:

I don't remember the original Travel Channel too much. I wasn't watching much TV in those days. I actually had a job.

Take care,
Mike

I am trying to figure out the new commercial for her new show. Why were the guys wrapping her office in aluminum foil?

Well, well, well Sam, this is a side of you we never saw.....I was thinking, with some of her remarks, she was chaneling Anthony Bourdain, and then she mentioned him!

A bit of a risk, for the Travel Channel, maybe, just because we have not seen her being so sassy, but I do so enjoy her.

One thing I don't like though, is to see a woman drink beer from a bottle...

Trip,

I told you that they were toning down the "perky". I actually liked it and not the P ussy Cat doll stuff. I did think it was rather interesting that she mentions Bourdain and then ends up at the Double Down Bar, "The Happiest Place on Earth". The same place Bourdain went in his Vegas episode. Although I enjoyed the way Samantha did it instead of Tony.

BTW: I have no problem with a woman drinking from a bottle. When they start drinking from the trough that's where I draw the line.

Take care,
Mike

Yep, I did see the "Inspiration" show last night, and thought it was really good. I'd like to have seen more of the ship, and less of Cozumel though. All in all however, I think it did show the highlights of the ship, and what a good job they did in refit this time. Great show!
