Default Mid Week....Yea It's Wednesday

Good Morning All

Yes it is Wednesday, the middle of a long week, it seems waiting for the next cruise takes so long. btw it is also my birthday and I am off to work. I am taking off early today. I have to take my D/W for her ID card and then we will sneak away for a quick date.

Hope everyone has a great day.

Trouble neglect you, The angels protect you,
And heaven accept you.

And a grand birthday to you Irish! Enjoy your day!

Here it is another "hump" day and I'm still not over the "three weeks ago today I was having coffee in the Promenade Cafe heading toward San Juan" syndrome.

Ah well, the best to all our 'mates along with our prayer to those suffering illness or travail of any sort.

Happy Birthday Irish, enjoy the day, Todd, how is Fran? Laura, enjoy your day.

It is another middle of thr week. Where did my week go. I was supposed to be home, ya right, Monday at noon a crisis at the farm and on the road back to Ontario. Came home Monday night drained. Tuesday treatmnt and such for me, the regular hospital things and TONS of work, and while I am working I start getting a pain I had in my eye last fall along with visual disturbance. I went to the eye doctors office, no appointment, I was scared as I have a serious problem in that eye, she was there, and she saw me with no appointment as an emergency. She is so nice! If she was not there, another eye specialist would have seen me, but she knows me well. I have something called uveitis , but this time I dont expect damage to my vision because I caught it really early. It is a bad attack, but treated early.

Last night I was in bed 11 PM and needed to sleep. Today it is to the office, pack the bag and off to Ontario again. Chemo tomorrow for my mother. ( it's weekly )

In the mean time, July almost feels like it is over. Hard to imagine that. I got a bumper sticker in the mail the other day from my sons university. (McGill) It says McGill parent, not really sure why I should put this on my car, except free advert for McGill??

Yesterdays weather was picture picture, low humidity, bright and sunny, today feels like heavey in the air.

I am going to go and buy a label maker. This will help for my sister and some times she gets little things mixed up. So, we will put labels......I know it works as we make instructions with magic marker ( but it rubs off on for example pill bottles) and then she is fine. Example, Advil and Tylenol, I write on the bottle what symptoms to match which pill bottle.

Have a great day every one.

Delfthuis,

That was very sweet of you to ask about Fran. Her bloodwork actually pleased both us and her oncologist (it's always pretty good when your oncologist enters the room with a smile on his face).

Not that there aren't significant glitches (her platelet count is down all the way to 91) and she has a swollen lymph node in her neck. But her platelet count has been up and down and the swollen lymph node may not mean much of anything. To make sure, however, he has scheduled her for a CT scan next week. She really hates them because of that goshawful bottles of that stuff she has to drink!

Thanks again for caring.

Todd

Happy Birthday to you Irish, and may you have many more!

Morning All, from Montreal, where it is dull, cool, and promises rain and/or thunderstorms today. Not a wading pool day today.

I found out finally, what happened to my train that didn't take me home on Monday night. Apparently a man was hit and killed on the tracks at the road crossing right where my station is located. It was several hours before train service was restored. Kind of makes my little inconvenience not such a big deal after all.

Trip, enjoy your little Red tonight!

You are welcome, I keep you both in my thoughts and prayers! Tell her from me Keep your chin up, my grandmother always said an expression in Dutch, like when you dont know where you go, or how you will go, how you get through something, you simply go straight, regardless of obstacles in the way, just keep plowing straight through, eventually you get out of the mess!

Morning all, another beautiful day here in KS - DH has been able to get the hay and alfalfa cut and baled without the interruption of rain. He's baling today and then cutting at another field. By this time next week, he should be done with the hay (if there's no rain). And, this gives me time alone when I get home from work, I can get some stuff done, of course tomorrow I'm taking off in the afternoon to do some canning/freezing of veggies from our garden - this year has been great the produce has been exceptional and lots of it - so it's keeping me busy.

Irish, Happy B-day - enjoy the day!

And to all who are suffering in any way, my prayers and thoughts are with you.

Default Mid Week . . . Yea It's Wednesday

An early good morning from Southern California. I awoke about 5:30 and couldn't go back to sleep, so here I am.

Happy birthday, Irish! Have a magnificent day!
RD, when those things happen, it makes us realize all the things we take for granted.
Delf, feeling better now?

I might go back to bed and catch a few more winks. Keith will go to his photography class in a few hours, but I have no particular plans. Yesterday, I managed to escape the tuna salad, but I think it will be lunch again today. Will go to the market for a fresh croissant to go with it.

Have a good day, people.

Judy

Morning all,,

Not much going on here on the east coast of Va. Sun is out,,,in the mid 80's today.
I am watching Evan my #3 granson again today. Somehow I have the feeling it's going to be an everyday thing for the summer. Even though we have not been officially asked,,, But believe me it's not a problem with me. He's such a joy,,,

We are heading off to Baltimore tomorrow to watch Dan's Detroit Tigers play the Orioles. He is so excited. I got a room @ the Marriott Baltimore Waterfront @ the Inner Harbor on Priceline for $89.00. Wow what a deal.

Hope everyone has a great "hump" day,,,and prayers to those who need them.

Good morning everyone:

It's been an interesting couple of days here. Sunday night I started having abnormal chest pains. (With the pericarditus it's been hard to tell what's normal and what isn't. ) Around 1:00 a.m. I figured I should go in to the hospital. I wasn't having an actual heart attack but there was a problem with the stent that was implanted in November. The U was able to fix it via cathertization and it only required one night in the hospital. I was home last night and I am feeling pretty good.

So for the next week I won't be doing too much fun stuff. I guess kick back and find out if John is still having an affair with Melanie and if Richard has told Joshua about his, deep dark, secret on the afternoon soap opera "As the Stomach Turns".

I hope everyone has a great day and wonderful week.

Take care,
Mike

Good morning cruisemates! Today is a big day. I had bought a new mattress set for the DW's bed and it arrives today! It is the same type of mattress set that I had for my own bed. Comfortable! Since her bed frame is a king and mine was a queen, they would not work together. A church donation group had picked up her mattress set this past Saturday so I have been sleeping on the couch since then. This is a surprise so she will be surprised when she gets home from her assignment next week. I haven't told her so I can surprise her.

Mike M, I was going to talk about my summer cold, but after reading about your problem it seems like it is not worth the type. Wishing you a speedy recovery, and Happy Wednesday. 38 days until I am retired. Mike

Good morning from sunny and beautiful, Virginia Beach. This morning I did my usual errand run after going to the gym; first it was the post office, the supermarket, and then the bank. (I had gotten a small bonus at work and wanted to deposit the check which I already used towards a stock investment). Todd, glad to hear that Fran's bloodwork was good. Irish, have a happy and healthy birthday. May all my fellow cruisemates enjoy this mid summer day!

Good early afternoon all! Was busy early at work. On the commute this morning someone pi**ed a skunk off near the station where I transfer between train lines. Boy did it stink !!! Good thing the train I transfer to is already waiting when I get there.

It is a very hot day here in Philly with temps climbing well into the 90s with unhealthy air conditions.

In clearing out the wilderness in my back yard I managed to contract posion ivy on my arms, feet and a couple of spots I would rather not reveal . However the ivy lost as I destroyed the bed.

Irish- Happy Birthday!!!!!
ToddDH- Good news about the bloodwork, I remember when Marj's daughter MikaLyn was undergoing chemo and had to have CT scans and had to drink that glop. I said it can't be that bad. The technican let me sample it. It was that bad .
Mike- Take care!!!

Everyone have a great day!!!

Heck Mike:

The most agonizing thing I know of is a bad cold. An angiogram/angioplasty is nothing compared to five days of the hell that a nasty head cold brings. Get better soon!!!

Take care,
Mike
