Default Trans Siberian Orchestra Tour Dates are announced!

Those of you who know me, have heard me sing the praises of The Trans Siberian Orchestra, every year around the Christmas season when they tour North America.

Well, their 2008-09 season has just been announced, and I thought you might like advance notice of the dates they may be coming to your town.

I have already set aside Wed. Dec, 3 for their visit to Montreal - can't wait!

So check out this link, and take my word for it, DO NOT MISS THIS SHOW!!

Aren't they just the greatest?? If you ever go to the first concert you can't help but be "hooked". They appeal to such a wide variety of people. Last year we sat in front of a large group of college students that had never seen them before. It was great to see and hear their reactions. I cannot wait until December. This year our concert will be just a few days before Christmas..what a way to put you in the Christmas mood.

Last year, our 2nd time, we had 2 extra tickets due to the fact our friends couldn't make the trip from out of town. I had to practically drag my 18 yr old and his girlfriend to the show, but I knew he would love it. He of course thought there's no way he would like ANYthing his old mother would like.
Was he ever wrong! He and his gf sat mesmerized through the first part of the show with the powerful narration and Christmasy songs, and by the time the 2nd half came on, with the heavy rock and pyrotechnics, he was up on his feet shouting "OH YEAH!!!"
I converted 2 more fans after that show!
Can't wait to see it again!

There is one song is particular I love from them, but it is very sweet, quiet, more like a ballad, but the rest I cannot handle that much as it seems like so much noise and it makes me feel ill, could it be because I wear hearing aids and they use so many "electronics" that this is what gives me the headache and the feeling of not so good? But the one I just love I play all the time especially around the holidays.

That would be "Christmas Canon" based on Pachelbel's "Canon in D Major", it certainly is a beautiful piece of music!

I am not sure I would bank on this schedule unless there is more than one TSO touring:

Mon. 10 Nov. Nampa, ID Idaho Center 7:30 PM

Wed. 12 Nov. Jacksonville, FL Jacksonville Veterans Memorial Arena 7:30 PM

Thu. 13 Nov. Salt Lake City, UT The E Center 7:30 PM

Thu. 13 Nov. Sunrise, FL BankAtlantic Center 7:30 PM Fri. 14 Nov. Reno, NV Reno Events Center 8:00 PM

Fri. 14 Nov. Tampa, FL St. Pete Times Forum 8:00 PM

Even Scotty and his transporter from Star Trek would have a hard time getting the band to the performances on Nov 13, 14 and 15.

Sat. 15 Nov. Orlando, FL UCF Arena 8:00 PM

Sat. 15 Nov. Sacramento, CA Arco Arena 3:00 PM

Sat. 15 Nov. Sacramento, CA Arco Arena 8:00 PM

Doug, there ARE actually 2 touring groups, East and West. Because it is such a limited touring season (Christmas) they need 2 groups to visit as many cities as possible in the shortest time period.
