I have a cruise section in my walk in closet..about 2 months out, I try on everything and that is how I gauge how much weight I have to lose

I buy one new piece for each cruise

Default Leaving Clothes Behind

It looks like I'm the only one who likes to leave old clothes behind.

BTW, I should be back from Iraq in plenty of time for my cruises, and the Buenos Aires Cruise is to be my retirement cruise, hehehe...

I only buy something if I really need it. Most of the stuff in my closet works just fine.

I always like to get something new, even if I don't really need it.
However, if you were to look at my formal night photos over the past 7 years since my honeymoon, you'd probably notice me wearing the SAME dress in all of them! Hey, it fits, I like the colour, you can squish it in a ball in the suitcase and it always comes out looking fine - what more could I want?

I have always said that I will never have the "Costanza Cruise Collection" (Remember the Seinfeld episode) that is taken out only for cruises.

The tuxedo was the only thing that fit into this category, once I no longer went to any on land formal occasions. Now some other guy is wearing it. I donated it to a store that specializes in "recycling" formal wear.

I wear clothes that I wear at home. I may buy a new pair of shorts or dress pants if the old ones are a bit worn but that's about it. My wife usually will buy a new sun dress or a new dinner outfit.

I LOVE COUNTRY CLUB CASUAL

Take care,
Mike

Given the recent price increases in fuel and cruises I have decided to give the Naturist cruises a go, so this will not be a problem.

Plus having no clothes should make the ship lighter, so less fuel or suppliment expected. Its got to be the way ahead, but cant think of anywhere to place my room card 8)

You can always keep it in the quarter slot!!! Unlike us gals, we have the quarter slot, dollar slot and ATM slot.

For my upcoming cruise I got some new stuff....
2 formal dresses
2 swimsuits
3 dresses
1 pair of shoes

I'm sure I'll be in the mall again before the cruise!

Great sales out there at this time of the year!

I prefer to get things I don't need during my travels.

I like the way you think, though, since I'm a function-before-fashion kind of guy.

Welsh I did not catch that story. There are a ton of foreclosures out there I don't know if they are as low as a buck.

I have plenty dress clothes for formal nights. Somtimes I might need to bay a new pair of shorts or two pre-cruise. I alwas by my girl a new dress before every cruise. It's sort of become a tradition and she trusts my taste.

I did order a new Navy Blazer as I'm going to go with the new CCL dress codes. Leaving the suit at home.

I tend to see dresses/outfits priced really well (usually cheap/clearance priced) and think "i can wear that on a cruise!" whether i have one booked or not...and then i buy it. everything i buy i can generally wear after we get back.

when i find those awesome prices, i can't say no!

I heard Donald Trump rescued Ed McMahon's home from foreclosure, so things must be rough, indeed!

As for Victoria's Secret, I like the way you think, too, CruiseQueen!

BTW, what kind of swimsuits do you wear?
