With the help of the winds from Gustav today was a great day to fly a kite. We had some wind, some rain and was even able to get in the pool for a while. Tomorrow looks to be a little worse than today with the winds and rain starting tonight or early morning. I will be thinking of everyone to the west of us that will be taking the major hit from the storm. Everyone be safe.
Sometimes it didn't fly to good.
My granddaughter and my mothers dog, Rascal.

I'm glad you enjoyed your kite flying day. Your granddaughter and Rascal are both adorable. Rascal looks a lot like our little Chico. We had our first rainy day in western Colorado in a long time. It will be great for the lawns and trees.
Indeed what a marvelous picture of your granddaughter with Rascal! Your pictures got me to thinking how long it's been since I've flown a kite. I couldn't even think back that far!
Looks, thankfully, as if you've missed the bullet as regards Gustav. Now hope everyone West of you has either left or is very well prepared.
