An interest for of our Cruisemates
This one is a little different from others that I have posted.

Can anyone say where this picture was taken? Hint it is in a location where some of you CMs have requested.

The Capilano Suspension Bridge in British Columbia?
I've crossed it and it was scary!
I even have a certificate and a fridge magnet to prove it!

YIKES!! you won't see me on it!! No way no how!!!!

BW September 15th, 2008 08:10 PM

I'm with the Roller Skating lady on this one.

Capilano Suspension Bridge, I walked across it in 1975.

Thanks Ray for something Canadian. LOL

Have no idea where it is BUT I would definitely NOT be walking across it. My fear of falling would kick into high gear,

What a neat pic - looks scary but yes I'd cross it but VERY VERY SLOWLY
it would probably take me at least an hr or so as I'm afraid of heights I'd have to look straight ahead, not to the left or right and definitely not down!

I know where it is!! It is where I won't ever be!!!

Beaver Creek OH.... okay ours wasn't that scary ! LOL I would have to "scooch" across it on my backside. LOL

RD and BW you are both right. I figured you Canadian would know.

It is Capilano Suspension Bridge located north of Vancouver, BC. I took the picture in 1983. When the wind blows too hard they close it to foot traffic.

Thanks Ray for posting something I could identify! Now I don't feel so dumb!

That's the bridge we didn't make it to on our recent trip to Vancouver.
We ended up going to the Lynn Canyon park, but the suspension bridge there was closed, so we ended up hiking.

It was lovely, but next trip, we're doing Capilano

I am so NOT afraid of heights, and I think that I will LOVE being on the bridges there! :)

An Interest of our CruiseMates
When I was a kid, my parents used to take me to visit my grandmother in Northfield, MN. One of the local colleges had a swinging bridge. I went on it once and only once! Got to agree with Laura on this one!
