The day is gone and evening is now entrenched throughout East Tennessee.
Was a relaxing day (spent a good portion of it right here after finishing the lawn and washing both the car and lawn tractor followed by a much needed albeit short nap). Also kept one eye on the race. Sunday Dinner was wonderful (how could it be otherwise as it was absolutely chock full of both cholesterol and calories). Fran outdid herself with the apple crisp. I picked her the fresh apples from the tree outside along with some very large pears (she's going to try a recipe for baked pears).
I've never seen either tree so loaded with fruit and have virtually begged the neighbors to help themselves and there's still tons of it. I've been making a lot of pear/applesauce of late with my lawn tractor as "what ails me" won't allow me to rake and pick them all up. I fear I'll have to have both trees taken down next Spring and it really hurts me to do that.
May the Lord's Blessings be upon each of you. Until tomorrow........
ended up spending most of the day in emergency with Sam where he is admitted for IV antibiotics as it became very obvious the cellulitis was really getting out of control and he could no longer put weight on the leg.
I will get a few things ready for tomorrows surgery clinic and finish some wash and try and get some sleep tonight.
Glad dinner was nice Tod and Fran, and have a great night every one.
Jen, your back home, I hope it was a wonderful time!
"If your number one goal is to make sure that everyone likes and approves of you, then you risk sacrificing your uniqueness and, therefore, your excellence."
Not a bad day here, a lot better than the last 2, that's for sure!
Got outside for a bit, in the sun, sitting on a big cushion with my garden shears, trimming and pruning some plants and bushes. Felt real good!
Also did some long neglected house work, with lots of resting in between!
The pain remains the same, comes and goes, but I'm working through it.
Hoping to get that specialist appointment tomorrow....
Good Night All!
