The space shuttle Hubble telescope mission.
Does anyone know if the mission on the 8th of this month is going ahead?

All I can find on the NASA web site is that its under review?

It seems a bit short notice to be reviewing it??

Liam, I got a notice that the tickets to this launch are on sale if that helps. I was thinking of going to see it.

I heard recently that it had to be moved due to delays caused by Ike at JSC.

I read someplace that it won't be until next year - maybe February. Believe it had something to do with a problem that needs fixing on the Hubble and they have to train the astronauts in how to do this space walk.

It looks like the great USA space program is going into hibernation for awhile in the near future

The shuttle program has a "must end" date that is very near. This was supposed to be the last or next to last flight for the shuttle program.

Well it obviously didn't happen so the next mission is STS 126 to the ISS on Endeavour, which will be the 124th shuttle mission ever.

STS 125 was to be the last to Hubble.

Expedition 18 on Soyuz TMA-13 launches on the 12th of this month to the ISS. I hope they televise the launch.
