Default CQ's New Hot Spot CDG Airport !!!!!!!!!

ABC News had a clip about Paris Airport where dance instructors were giving lessons in Salsa (and other dances) for passengers with long layovers..it was a way of reducing jet lag and exercising your heart muscles...

I always knew CQ was practing her Salsa technique on her cruises so she can open her Salsa Dance Studio at EWR Airport..great way to pay for her future cruises

I think that is an excellent idea!! I had an hour and a half to kill at Newark. Having the opportunity to take a dance class instead of sitting around the airport and doing nothing would be wonderful.

Not to mention many people are just sitting around the airport and are eating all the unhealthy meals that airports offer.

Dance.....great for the mind, body and soul!!!

I usually just go to bar in the airport and have a few beers while I am waiting and chat up the stewardesses.

well if you see a flight attendant in uniform in an airport bar, something is amiss

if you see a stewardess in uniform in an airport bar..since they changed the name of the profession in the late 60's...then the ones that Dave The Wave chatted up would be at least 65 years old

CQ...next time I go thru EWR airport I'll look for you giving dance lessons in the bar

Venice, back when I was a Tanning Consultant poolside at the Marriott Near the Orlando airport, there were many pilots and "stewardesses" that over nighted there. The Piedmont gilrs from NC were very friendly while the Delta girls were quite a bit snobby. I asked a couple pilots out by the pool about this and they told me don't pay them any mind they are only,

"High Altitude waitresses"!

I think I'm going to have to pay a visit to Paris airport!!!

What is AFRO JAZZ?????

PARIS: Roughly 17 million air passengers travel through Paris during the summer, presenting the city's airports with a significant logistical challenge.

To keep tempers cool and spirits high this year, the Aeroports de Paris implemented an unconventional plan: free dance lessons for passengers.

passengers can use their wait time at the airport to learn any one of 15 dances offered by the airport's resident trainers from "L'Ecole des Vacances," including Afro Jazz, Disco, Hip Hop, Mambo, Modern Jazz, Rock & Roll, Salsa, Samba, Tango, Cha-Cha and more.

At Paris-Orly, they take place on a dance floor in terminal South at boarding gate 17, with roving workshops also available in the boarding area at Paris-Orly West.

At Paris-Charles de Gaulle, the dance floor is located in terminal 2E, gate E51, with itinerant workshops in Terminals 3 and 2F. Dance floors were designed by the Aeroports de Paris boutiques.

CQ.."Afro Jazz" is me (when I have not had a haircut in 6 months):: playing trumpet with Roy Hargrove on HAL Westerdam Playboy Cruise

on a serious note.."Afro Jazz" is a fusion of marabi, swing and American Jazz (think New Orleans with Louis Armstrong)..Remember France had many colonies in Africa and many Africans immigrated to France..combined with the French citizens LOVE of all aspects of American Jazz, especially when introduced to it during both WW1 & WW2 by Black troops playing in army bands

very distinctive sounds that you would love to dance too

And while I'm at it I might as well Youtube Marabi. Never heard of that before.
