Last week I purchased a Panini Grill for my mother, so it would be easy for her to make nice hot sandwiches for lunches.
After making a couple for her, I had to run and get one for ourselves.
Problem now is I'm eating them for lunch, dinner, late night snacks. Pretty soon I could be getting so bad I'll be making breakfast sandwiches.
So.. if you're looking for a different sort of gift for someone you may want to check them out. Only thing is, once you taste a sandwhich made on it, you'll want one for yourself http://www.cuisinart.com/catalog/pro...hp?item_id=397
I bought one for my dh a couple Chrismtases ago - we use it often - not just for the sandwich part, but also for the griddle aspect - perfect for french toast or pancakes.
We found the Cruisinart Griddler at Bloomingdales on sale for $129, but with pre-sale (come back next week and get it), we paid $99. A chef was demonstrating it today. The panini sandwich was good.
