Louisiana Snow storm

It may be hard to believe but we've had a heavy snow storm in beautiful south Louisiana! I live about 65 miles north of New Orleans and have had 8 inches of snow!!!! It knocked out electricity, closed schools, closed "State" offices (I had a snow day ... yeah!) Talk about being unprepared. My electricity was out for 3 1/2 days!! I have a generator because I camp with the horses ... but my only water source is a well. The pump runs on electricity, this was beginning to get scary on day 3 because the horses were just about out of water.

The horses didn't know what to make of this, they're from Louisiana!

Sure hope things recover there quickly. Our Eastern states had an ice storm and are having problems, but with the cold, makes it scary to say the least.
