Spring Getaway Booked...real cruise, no land cruise et al
SNOWED IN TODAY SO...
Well I just booked an outside quarantee on the 03-28 sailing of the Saphire Princess. We've done this 7 night Mexican Riviera cruise a few times but find it a neat way to see our good friends Mare` & Conrad, who live in Puerto Valllarta. ( for a very reasonable price)
We paid $529 p.p. for the cruise and got airfare for $85 each way on a direct flight from Portland to Long Beach. (Good old Jet Blue) Total cost for two people including cruise and air was $1398. I think we would be hard pressed to plan a one week vacation anywhere for less money, much less on a ship as nice as the Saphire Princess.
We've been having cruise withdrawls because our recent trips have been land cruises. And most of all it will be great to see our friends Mare` & Conrad. They are getting up in years and we like to see them whenever we can make it work timewise and financially. Just flying to P.V. for spring break would be close to that amount with just the airfare. Go figure!
Anyway we are excited about our little getaway given we are snowed in today. Is Sabatini's still one of the restaurants on board? Dreaming and thinking about warm weather. Yes!
