Default Back to Back Cruises - What do you do that first day of ....

I am considering a 4 day back to back and I was wondering, what does everyone do on the first day of the second cruise...

are you required to debark?

are you allowed to just sleep in and not have to vacate your cabin?

Thanks

In my past back to backs (three times), I have not had to debark, I have not had to vacate my cabin, nor have I had to go to the new muster drill. Back to backs are wonderful!!!

If you are sailing out of the U.S. that is not the case. If you have the same cabin booked for both weeks you can leave your stuff but you will have to debark and exit thru US Customs and then check in for the next week. Sometimes the cruise line will expedite the process for B2B cruisers. You will have to attend muster drill both times.

It really depends on the port and the cruise line's Safety Officer. We've always had to meet in one of the lounges around 9:30 AM, get off and go through customs, then get back onboard where we got a new ship's card. One time we had to wait until the ship was fully disembarked before we could reboard.

We've never been required to do a second muster drill, but the Safety Officer could require that you do so.

I agree. We just did a B2B out of Miami, and had to go into the terminal, and then back on ship.

So many announcements, so most likely you would not be able to sleep.
