Default Wednesday already?

Morning All, from Montreal, where it's still sunny and slightly warmer at -17C or 1F. Not exactly spring yet, darn groundhog.....

Yesterday I had the unmistakable signs of a cold coming on, and sure enough, last night it came out with a vengeance. Feeling pretty rotten today, but will have to go in to work anyway....besides, that's where I got it in the first place, so pretty much everyone's had it or has it anyway!

Tonight is episode 4 of the new season of LOST. I will be glued to the TV between 9 and 10, so don't expect me in Chat tonight!

Good Morning Mates,

No sun here - 4.4 on the thermometer, but with the breeze it feels below zero - so I will have to dress warm and snuggly today.

RD -sorry that you are sick.

I have so much to do that I don't even know where to begin.

Hope all the mates have a good day....
praying for lots of you

A super grand Good Wednesday Morning to RollerDonna, Jen and all our ‘mates who follow. It is certainly a cold morning in upper East Tennessee. Currently it’s 16F outside the sunroom window adjacent to where the “‘ol puter” is located.

The contractor starts on the bathroom floor this morning. Fran mentioned that next on the agenda is the basement. Uh-ohhhhh.... That means I have to arrange to have ten tons of junk removed from the old basement den area and then I’ll have to remove all of my books from the shelves and dust them. That alone will take several days at least. Next, she wants me to go through everything in my downstairs office and throw out most of the stuff! Now that’s where I draw the line! It’s taken me almost forty years to acquire my treasures! So what if I’m a pack rat! So what if my formerly beautiful roll top desk (before the mover all but destroyed it when I retired and moved back home back in ‘96) is chock full of God only knows what! If I didn’t have a reason, the stuff wouldn’t still be in there. Trouble is, I’ve forgot all of those reasons and she knows that!

I know what I’ll do! Whenever she gets ready to start, I’ll just take hold of a kitchen chair back and wobble a wee bit. When she asks what’s ailing me, I’ll reply, “Oh it’s really nothing but....uhhh... maybe it would be a good idea if we put off the basement until my new meds have had a chance to work for awhile?” That should suffice at least until latter April. Following that, my back will undoubtedly go out yet again (heh-heh-heh). I can hear my late mother’s admonishment right now, “Oh what tangled webs we weave, when we figure to deceive,” to which I would usually reply, “Yes they are, especially if one is a master weaver.” It wasn’t until I married Fran that I learned my weaving capabilities left a lot to be desired.

Blessings on everyone and of course prayers out to Delft, her Mum, Luanne, Judy, Jen and all others needing that extra help.

Todd

Good Morning from Ks. where it's cold here but at least we don't have all the snow that most of you have - it's 5 degrees but with the wind chill it's in the negative #'s. The weather folks are promising better weather starting tomorrow and thru the weekend - I do hope they are right but it will definitely put us on the weather roller coaster -

RD - you need to have Airborne, Zicam and lots of Vit C on hand to ward off the colds - I've used all three this season and it really seems to have worked - have just had bad sinus headaches but not really a cold to speak of!! But, as you said you picked it up from the kiddies! Hope you start feeling better soon -

Everyone try to have a great day and prayers for those who need them!

Hi Kids,
Bright sunny and cold here..I am so glad we live on the sunny side of the street. By Sat & Sun, the temps will be in the high 40's, and the melting will begin, and a new storm will surely be coming.....Tomorrow is the day I would have flown off to Nola, for the cruise, and it will be clear, something I always worry about in the winter.....well, no worries for us

Bruce is doing better, but he plowed last night, and he rightly said, he overdid it...no Drs. appointment yet, and he may not need one, if I kill him

Well, that's my tale of woe, sooooo.............

Make it a good one.

Hey Todd, Just go ahead with the renovations. You'll be happy. Monday and Tuesday, this week, my days off, I had a new wood floor put in upstairs in a bedroom. Well, it was nonstop sawing and hammering for 17 hours but guess what. I'm thrilled. It looks great. I love construction work. It's messy, dirty, and loud but the end results are beautiful!!!!!!

Default Wednesday Already?

Good morning from Southern California. Working on our last sunny day til Sunday, so the weather mavens tell us.

I see the infectious diseases specialist in a few hours. Maybe he'll give me something for the beginning of a sinus infection.

Have a nice day!

Good Morning Mates from Beaautiful scenic Hernando, Missippi. I am typing on my handheld this morning so I apologize if it looks as thoough a serial killer typed this. The wind picked up and the temp started dropping and snow started blowing, so I determined it was time to head south a bit eaarlier than planned so I threw the kids and luggage in the truck and off we went. We arrived here around 2 or 3 a.m. and were just glad to have a place to rest our weary bones.

The kids are awake and I am too, kind of anyway. We have another few hours ahead of us. and it looks like good travel weather. Nice and warm compared to the single digit ttemps we left behind.

Please pray for d/h that he aces his interview at the University tomorrow. I have no doubt he will, but it never hurts to have a little help from the man upstairs.

Hope you all have a great day. Prayer to those in need. Gotta have breakfast and hit the road. I'll post again when I get to NOLA..

Dear Cruisemates,
It is hard to believe it is already 5:25 pm. We had a nice sunny day, where the temps reached the low 50's. I think we have survived the worst of winter.
Trip, I hope your husband's kidney stone passed if that was what it was. RD so sorry to hear you are sick. Those little ones do carry a few germs with them. I like to think after 28 years my tolerance is well built up.
Todd, good luck with the floor remodel. You may complain, but I am guessing in the long run your dear Fran wins the battles.
Beanie, How exciting to be in Mississippi already. Safe travels and good luck to your DH on his interview.
Judy, hope you get to feeling better.

Good evening, from in the low 30's, Virginia Beach. After going to the gym this morning, I had to take my dented car in for an estimate. I was shocked that the damage was over $1,000! Whoever hit my car, in the parking lot of the J.C.C., is not an honest person because they literally, left the scene of the accident on Monday while I was busy exercizinig. Has that ever happened to any of my fellow cruisemates? Thank G-d I have insurance but I still have to pay a $200 deductible. Todd, good luck with the new bathroom. Hope all of my fellow cruisemates had a great day!
