That says it all. If it's 45 tomorrow, I will see people in tshirts and shorts.
No lie.

I laughed reading this and substituted New Brunswick for Mass. Today we are just breaking out of a horrible cold snap that routinely saw temps hover around -28 to -36 and people carried on their normal lives. This morning while I was sitting her reading the morning news I noted that hte thermometer has risen almost to zero and no sooner did I spot that than I watched a guy walking his dog in just a t-shirt and jeans! It's all relative. We laugh when we go to Florida during one of their cold snaps because we're in shorts and t's at 60 and they are wearing coats and freezing, the Floridians tease us something fierce : )

Thanks for a great laugh Laura!
I too substituted Montreal for Massachussetts, and it is SO true.
On several occasions we've been in Florida briefly pre-cruise when the weather was "cool", and at the hotel, I'm in the pool, while everyone else is sitting around the pool wrapped in sweaters and blankets!

Yes I too can relate. We have found ourselves enjoying waterparks almost to ourselves with temps at the 70' degree mark in FL and in Vegas the temps were right around 70 - but the sun was beautiful - had the pool almost to ourselves also.

Like Susie said - if it does hit 40 almost no one will be wearing a winter coat tomorrow (I will). I am sure all the runners will have taken off their tights and be just in shorts.

Being from Connecticut, I can relate to that. We were in South Carolina this last Thanksgiving and I was was walking outdoors without a jacket and several people asked (aren't you cold?).

I'm not quite as wimpy about the weather as most California. I don't put on a jacket until it hits 50 or lower. However, I have never been in Below zero temps so I would be wimpy in that situation.

The coldest place around here is Truckee CA in the mountains it gets average temps in the 14s in January burr. The record minimum temperature in Truckee CA is -23°F (-30.6°C) was on February 27, 1962.

Here is an interesting article on USA Weather.
http://www.usatoday.com/weather/reso...r-extremes.htm The coldest temperature ever recorded in the USA was –79.8°F (rounded off to –80°F) that was observed at Prospect Creek Camp in northern Alaska on Jan. 23, 1971. Think about that on your next Alaskan cruise.

I am so glad that brought a smile to so many. I now reside in warm sunny Florida but Massachusetts will always be "home" in my heart. That came to me from a friend in Gardner Massachusetts.
