Default Snoozeman's Goat Herder & Barbershop Cozumel & lunch

Snoozeman’s Goat Herder Barbershop with Lunch Cozumel Tour
This morning a bunch of the CruiseMates left onboard the Carnival Fantasy set out on what may be the most unusual tour ever offered in Cozumel. Arranged by our very own Snoozeman, we set out at 11 A.M. for Snoozeman’s Goat Herder Barbershop & Lunch tour.
Snooze had e-mailed ahead to book reservations for the group with his barber at Antonio’s Barbershop. The reply came back: EEZ OK! So the group set off with eager anticipation, and the excitement built as we approached Antonio’s. Only the bravest amongst us, and those who needed a haircut, attempted to actually sit in “the chair” and experience the thrill that came with it, but the rest of the group was there to offer support.

After an hour the floor was laden with wasted hair, of all color and curl. The three brave souls who’d agreed to this adventure stood proudly, with their barber, satisfied in their accomplishment.
Once every hair that was going to be cut had been, the tour made the wild adventurous trek (about a 3 block walk) to La Candela for a lunch befitting such adventurers. The tables were covered with an adventurers feast, along with plenty of margaritas, and XXX beer. Our dehydrated and famished (no one had eaten for an hour) was for the moment satiated.

Then, a secret preparation arranged by Snoozeman was revealed.

It was a specially ordered CruiseMates Valentine’s Day cake, to light a spark of romance amongst the wandering cruisemates group. Each couple looked at each other lovingly, and then Snoozeman rewarded each lady, sharing the knowledge which would lead them to the true ways of love; his cabin number.
From that point, the group was of course given free time to shop, and find their way back to the ship on their own time, just had to follow the sign for the Ruta De Ejaculation.

We had a wonderful day, on a bit of an usual tour of Cozumel. Laughter, warmth and friendship was overflowing, and we thank Ray (Snoozeman) for supplying a great day!

More pictures of the day available in the photo gallery....

Snoozeman knows his Mexico. That's for sure. I may have spoiled it for him, as Le Candela was the type of place all the crew should know about.... so I told them.

GREAT food, and cheap!! And cheap drinks!!!

The crew already know about La Candela as there was a Purser there. She asked me about it when we were back on board. We probably can't keep it a secret too long anyway.

April I learned my lesson too, I spent a day & half calling Carnival & Nancy, and anyone who might have been able to help, trying to stay on for part 2 No luck.

I miss all these people too, it looks like they were having too much fun It looks like Scurvey took a quick nap on the ride to the barber shop. He must have needed it!

I am in withdrawal We NEED a REUNION CRUISE!

It was great fun! Lots of laughter and the drinks were good, too!

LaCandela was an excellent recommendation for lunch! Thanks, Snooze!

Snooze, thanks again for the cake, I am glad someone is thinking ahead. I hope we can all do it again soon. Ready, I hope Don is feeling better please tell him I said hello, Jim and Kay Carole and I look forward to sailing with you guys again. To be honest I have never come back from a cruise this tired. I think I burned the candle at both ends and the middle. I think this NOLA group was one of the best. I hope Snooze and Kuki can put together another cruise next year, or sooner. Take care all. Mike

Well actually Nancy is working on a CruiseMates group cruise for about the same time frame next year out of Galveston. Hopefully it will work out.

Just spoke to Nancy this evening and she'll have final pricing tomorrow. We have to run it by Kuki or Paul first, but looks like January 17, 2010 on The Carnival Conquest. Seven days for now, but who knows. Ports are Jamaica, Grand Cayman, & Cozumel.
