I found the article, it is one their sister site, the Consumerist at http://consumerist.com/5176640/shamp...ay-be-too-much

It's one of a few website that I just love to read. I use Google Reader, so the websites come to me. Today they had an article that AIG has told employees to remove the logo from clothing and they removed the logo from their offices in New York.

Todd Soild white, thick, wavy, hair I think your wife's eye sight is just fine. I had a friend with that kind of hair he kept wanting to dye it. I won't let him, if you put a little shine product in it that hair will gleam. My friend was single so I used him as a hair model in a contest. All the female hairstylists were coming over to him and flirt with him. Just as I knew they would. They loved his thick, wavy white hair.

Two things you did wrong blowdry the waves out and use that shampoo with condition. Nothing wrong with washing you hair everyday, expect for the shampoo you use. Todd American Crew only makes a men's hair products. The Daily Moisturizing shampoo and the Daliy Moisturizing conditioner should work good for you.

Mean Dean what time should I bring Maggie and Charlie by for there hair cuts.

I know this is OT but I just want to say how much I like it over here and this discussion is a good example of how nice it is when people help people selflessly.

Admins and Mods, please take a bow.

I don't know how it would work as a hair care product, but Snow's Condensed Clam Chowder has been discontinued North of the border by the evil corporate powers that be.
If I want it, I have to PAY outrageously to have it shipped, brokerage, taxes, etc.

There are a few mens' colognes that I miss now, some mens' facials, foot creams, and my youth.

Trip, have you tried Ovation Cel Therapy hair products? They've been advertising on the radio lately. They have a web site.

I know we've got off on a hair product tangent, but I want to bring it back to food for a moment.
I just remembered my biggest disappointment of disappearing food products: Presidents' Choice Halloween "Ice Cream You Scream" which was a favourite for a few years before they discontinued it - I have no idea why because it was so popular. Our daycare used to serve it at our annual Halloween Party.
It was orange coloured and flavoured ice cream with chocolate crackle chunks and it was more than delicious!

They just better not mess with my 2nd favourite: Candy Cane Chocolate Crunch Ice Cream that only comes out at Christmas!

I've tried all the expensive hair conditioners and broke down and bought Dove in the blue bottle, and let me tell you, it's the best I've ever used.
Great if you color your hair and it's cheap!

Some guy in I believe New Jersey bought the rights to Canoe and started manufacturing it again. I saw it in a discount store about a year and a half ago. Don't know if it's still being manufactured today. Same bottle, logo and it appeared to have the identical aroma I remember from the sixties.

I just found out the Yahoo is discontinuing the farechase travel site. This is a bummer I used this site to book and check airfare. Is it really that expensive to run or did Bartz just want to increase his bonus by cutting costs. I want my farechase!!!!!

Try the British site Mobissimo or the American site Kayak/Sidestep. There is also Momondo and 1st Travel.

Kayak/Sidestep are good with American fares, but not so good when you need a European flight or a one/way.

Jovan Musk and spearmint gum.

That's what I first smelled when I met my wife.

Hey: I just looked online and Jovan still makes it.

Take care,

It's funny someone mentioned Brut. I always kind of laughed at it too but awhile back, my wife, just for fun picked me up a bottle of Brut "revolution". It's in a glass bottle and actually doesn't smell bad! I'm generally a Polo guy though and enjoy regular, spray on Polo Cologne or for more everyday use I like Polo Black after shave balm.

Two things that seem to be dying out that I will miss when they are gone...A regular men's barber and the local butcher. It's getting harder to find either one these days. I wear my hair "high and tight" and "stylists" seem baffled how to do one ( you would think it would be easy for them). Fortunately, I have a good, old fashioned barber and enjoy the barbershop. It's the one place I actually like to wait so that I can read a playboy err, I mean newspaper, listen to the BS conversations etc.

As far as the butchers go, they seem to be going by the wayside. Hardly see any dedicated butcher shops anymore and most of the grocery stores aren't interested in custom orders etc...A good butcher was always a great service.

Ephraim,

Believe this or not, I finally trashed my Remington only about a year ago because I could no longer find ribbon for it. Truth be told, I was probably only holding onto it for sentimental reasons. I also found our, original mind you, Lava Light from the seventies and gave it to a friend.

But I darn well am holding onto my Great Grandfather's (I stress not Great-Great but simply Great Grandfather's) cavalry sabre from the Union Army in 1862 during the American Civil War (he was Union but I have ancestral representatives of both sides) and from my Grandfather (who was a major in the First World War), his dress helmet (with the Indian Head Insignia) and "coal scuttle" German helmet that he obtained from a German no longer requiring its use. Talk about discontinued items! They'll go to a local musem.

I also miss the days when the neighborhood ice cream vendor rode a bicycle propelled chest and a chocolate covered vanilla bar was a dime; a guy came around and sharpened your knives;
when the milkman delivered milk fresh and the breadman fresh bread daily to your door and yes, even party lines (we didn't, but my grandmother had one).

I'm sure you had most of the above in Canada as well. Well, maybe not a lot of American Civil War cavalry sabres........

Todd
