David and I are packed and ready to leave. (The novels, the Mexican train Dominoes and scrabble games are packed too!.) OOOOOOOOps! Don't forget the cameras and the binoculars.
Saturday morning we'll run to the credit union to take out some cash (We'll have to make a donation to the casino sometime during the week on the ship.) and then drive the 2.5 hours to Seattle. We hope to be boarding the Golden Princess by noon or one at the latest.
We are sooooooooo ready for a quiet peaceful Alaskan getaway. Our cruising best friends, Valerie and Mike, will be flying in from Denver and meeting us there on the ship. We have cruised with them in the Baltics, South America, Hawaii and the Northwest. We're going to stop at Pike's Market to get them a nice bouquet of poseys for their cabin. The flowers there are much nicer than the ones from the cruise ship florists. I think they will like to get a little surprise.
Ooooooops better go pack the long unders just in case! Caribou, Eagles, and Kodiaks, here we come! I think there is a mojito and a Sabatini's dinner in our futures too!
Looks like a GREAT time for an Alaskan Cruise! Bon Voyage, and keep us informed on how it goes. Don't donate all your money to the casino, and above all, have a WONDERFUL time.
Chuck....you might be in luck.....weatherman says 70's for Saturday.....so you should have a great sail away.........enjoy.........we're on Pacific Princess in August to Alaska..........
