The day has dawned dark, and gloomy and I am pretty sure that the rain will ensue at any moment.
I have just finished my morning devotions, and now must get ready for work, then come home and hopefully be productive, then off to Bible Study.
My days seem to still be much busier than I ever dreamed. Which is good. Lots of hurting people needing a helping hand, so I am trying to fill some gaps. Also trying to spend some time fellowshiping with friends, so we can build each other up.
Yesterday was my daughters 24 birthday - feel bad that she was so far away.
Delft - praying your mom has an easier day today.
ToddDh - will be keeping you and Fran in prayer today.
BW - what day is your sons surgery?
Have been trying to keep up with the posts...
Enjoy your day...no matter how dark the path may seem, there will be something that will lift your spirits, sometimes we just have to search a little harder for it.
Good Morning CruiseMates!
Well it looks as though the rain hasnarrowly missed us, but we still have the overcast skies.
My Mother will be here shortly to bake a cake with the kids. Then d/d will be going to the pool this afternoon if it is still is clear outside.
I've been up since 5:00. No rest for the wicked . Can't sleep too well lately. I am about halfway done with getting the house in order before d/s's surgery. Jen thanks for asking, the surgery is scheduled for 10:30 Friday morning.
Judy I've been thinking about you lately. I know you will be so glad to be done with that radiation. Looks like you are in your final week.
Todd, you and Fran will both be with me in my thoughts and prayers today.
Delft, you and your Mom will be in my prayers as well.
BTW Kuki, I hope you're reading this. I've been missing you lately. Can you pop by and give us an update on how you, and your family are doing.
Take care everyone. Have a great hump day and make the most of it.
Once the clouds burn off, "THEY" say it will be a nice day..I say "prove it!"
Seven years ago, this week, I was in the hospital, had major surgery, and what was to be a 4 day stay, turned into an 8 day stay. I can't believe that much time has passed, I came home on my birthday, and what a good day that was..how greatful I am to still be posting here....not sure what promted this walk down my memory lane, forgive me, but, those in need of good thoughts from Cruisemates, just know we have what seems like a direct line
Make it a good one....Todd,& Fran, wishing you fabulous results

Good morning from Southern California. The heat marches on . . .
BW, thank you for thinking of me. Last day of radiation is July 30. I am really sore and red! More to come, though, with emphasis on the incision.
Jen and RD, surely wish you could pass on some of that rain.
Todd and Fran, I will be thinking of you today.
TRIP - I just had to respond to your post. I understand completely what you are thinking on this day. Last summer, I was admitted to the hospital on July 5th and didn't return home until August 8th. I spent my birthday, (July 31st) undergoing a 6 hour major operation and then went to Intensive Care. Thoughts of that time in my life are as real as if they happened yesterday. I, too, am grateful that I am here, as I had 2 other major surgeries since last July. Life is good when you are given a second chance.
Not much on today's agenda. Took care of July necessities - driver's license renewal and annual car inspection.
