Default 24 Karet Gold, Plastic, Ship on a Stick

Someone noted the 24karet, plastic, piece of ship on a stick that's on my Posts, and wanted to know about it, ie: what ship it was from, what I did to earn it, etc. That got me to thinking about all my "Mates", and wondering how many of you have the coveted Ship on a Stick, or other awards, ie: Gold Olympic style medallion, award signed by the captain, etc.? As most of you know, I love singing, and am privileged to own several of the awards, from a hosts of ships, Carnival, and RCI. Tell me about your awards!

I have a couple ships on a stickfrom Carnival, and lots of swag from NCL, all of it's from singing too. I have a couple different NCL beach bags, Lots of nice pens, coffee cups, address books, luggage tags.

The best swag collection though I have to admit came from the Blogger's Cruise. Kuki and Carnival did a great job spoiling us with all kinds of stuff. I nearly an extra suitcase to bring all the stuff they gave us, from totebags, t-shirts, fans, bobble heads etc...

I've got a a couple of ship-on-a-sticks, and a few medallions, luggage tags, and keychains, all won from playing Trivia onboard. They are usually on display in the cruuise room, but at the moment, they, along with everything else, are packed away in boxes ready to move!

Hey Ken, maybe one day you and I can win a ship-on-a-stick for singing a karaoke duet together!

I got into a good group of people on the cruisemates TA cruise for trivia. Each member of the group win a ship on a stick. I didn't know at least half the questions. I just helped with the movie trivia. Thanks Ray and Helen, who were in my group.

I have been awarded six "ship's on a stick". I have only kept the first one I ever won. They all were from trivia.

I really prefer to get "stuff" rather than a ship on a stick but the "stuff" gets a bit old.

The good stuff I've won are:

Luggage tags:
Calculator:
Book Light:
mini-AM/FM radio:
Coffee Mugs
Tote Bags

I found that Azamara and Holland America give the best trivia prizes. The reading light and radio were pretty cool. We won them on Azamara. Most of the stuff I win I give to a teammate or someone else who's playing and didn't win.

Take care,
Mike

I guess we have our fair share of misc swag of all types. The last piece of ship on a stick I won was so easy I was (almost) ashamed to accept it. The game was Carnival Trivia and the question was "What was the name of the first Carnival ship." The C/D says if you think Tropicale stand on my left and if you think Mardi Gras stand on my right. Here I am standing alone on the right wondering if I heard him correctly when he says game over and hands me the Ship on a Stick.

Gosh, I have been on only 3 cruises, but have yet to see anyone win a ship on a stick - could someone please post a picture?

I won a gift bag on the last cruise - tshirt, luggage take, some piece of acrylic with the ship's image on it, a mug, then some Lancome make up (yeah!!!!) and a fresh water pearl bracelet.

My kids have won medals - but alas, no ship on a stick yet....
but I would love to see one.

For 25 years I have been trying so far no luck! I take Patty on a cruise with me just once and she comes home with medallions, a ship on a stick and a zillion other things. No wonder she was in love with the CD, Mark Price. She told everybody that "That cute guy gave them to me and he kissed me too" I got taken up on stage and serenaded....what did I get for my 15 minutes of fame??? roses and champagne! Great gifts but not a coveted "ship on a stick" Patty just got what it takes!

I have two Ship On A Stick tropies, I had to work very hard for one of them ... the other was easy. Also have a Bobble head, and a magnet.
Didn't realize what treasures they were!

I think Carnival is the only line that gives out the ship on a stick. Here is a picture.

Thanks Kat for posting the picture. It's such a pain to post a picture, unless you do it all the time! THANK YOU.

We have 8 ships on a stick left. Boy do they collect dust!!

Joe gave away 6 others, and I gave away two to a member here, who wanted them to wrap up and give to his grand kids for Christmas to announce their up coming cruise.

Joe won all of these on the different ships we were on.

Posting a picture is easy once you know how. It took me a long time to learn.

The picture has a different website address then the internet web address. for example: this is the internet address for a picture in my album. http://www.cruisemates.com/gallery/image.php?id=73980
this is the picture address for the same picture.
http://www.cruisemates.com/gallery/galleries/4729/73980.jpg
Notice the JPG at the end. How to get the picture address is:
1. Right click on the picture and a menu pop up will appear
2. Click properties that pop up will have a URL address that is the pictures address.
3. Copy and paste it into your message then highlight the address and hit the Img buttom and the top of the message boom you have a picture.

The group could be called "The Skymaster and Rollerdonna Karaoke CruiseMates Group Cruise"
I bet it would be wildly popular and the space would sell out fast.

HA! Yep,,,I'll bet they'd be falling all over themselves for cabins on that cruise. It actually would be a lot of fun, and we could assign characters for a lot of the "Mates" to assume. Nut2, I haven't seen "Grease" in quite a while, but I can picture you as one of the "Pink Ladies". 8)

Sky, What the heck! I am a good sport, sure I accept.I will only lipsynch though because if I sing the whole room will run out and dive overboard.
