Default Luggage Locators...

I was in Marshalls today, and saw these luggage locators that look like little remote controls....get to the terrminal after the cruise, and beep for your luggage....!! Sounds like a great idea, but....Has anyone used them, and your thoughts? Can you imagine, if any people had them, and, we all "clicked" at the same time? lol.......

the only challenge I can see is if it goes off in your checked luggage, you might have alittle visit from the TSA person who had to open your luggage

Venice, you have the remote, and the "tag" hangs off your luggage...

I had them on my last cruise this past April and attached to 2 suitcases with the remotes in my purse. Didn't need to use them cuz easily found my suitcases.

But I purchased them because the cruise before some idiot had taken my suitcase and I searched the entire warehouse when it was finally returned. If that ever happens again, I won't have to do that huge search so it was worth the money. Plus they were on sale at Penneys and I had a special coupon, too.

so can you program a distinct 'ring tone" for your luggage as opposed to just a beeping tone you could have a Stevie Wonder song "her I am baby, signed, sealed, delivered, i'm yours'

Wow, great idea, especially if you can customize the ring tone?

How many people have the same luggage on a belt at anyone time, that you have to electronically tell you different to what YOUR EYES tell you,,

Okay maybe you left the house three hours ago, gave your luggage to the airline, three hours later some folks have forgotten what they packed, what the suitcase looks like. DUHHH

Dont get this, tie a bit of ribbon on the handle if you can forget in such a short time.

Sorry the bleeper does not stop an idiot from taking your case before you get there,,you will be standing pressing your button in the "hall" and it will be bleeping in someone elses cabin

We had a heck of a time last time we got off the cruise. It took us forever to find our luggage, and of course they weren't together. How much did the locators cost?

Jackie, they were $5.99 for one...I also saw small luggage scales in TJ Maxx today for $6.99.

Ahhhh Trip with you here none of us have to go hunt for anything. We just "Ask Trip" our very own professional shopper. You ought to start your very own website specializing in selling travel items for people. You could call it" Trips Travel Treasures"

One time coming back from Antigua, a moran took my suitcase from the air port and took it home. Then she called me to tell me she had my bag so I must have her bag and she was mad at me when I said I didnt have her bag. I explained to her that I didnt have her bag because I didnt take a bag that didnt belong to me...........because even if it looks like my bag, I always check the name tags to make sure it is my bag, I also always wondered how she thought the blue paw print material around the handles got onto "her bag"..........Any ways, the air lines interviened and made her bring back my bag to the air port and they delivered it to me!

Trip..how thoughtful about caring for all of your fellow CM'ers..I took the liberty of contacting Royal Caribbean about chartering the OAS (that should just about hold everyone that post on these board on a somewhat frequent basis) and they will be contacting you in the morning about your credit card deposit

you and Oprah...

Once I get confirmation from RCI, I will personally be going house to house, like Ed McMahon, & Dick Clark did, to personally give out the cruise invitations.

Stay tuned
