My wife and I are booked on one of the early revenue cruises for Oasis - December 1st. It is just a four day cruise but I really want to see this ship right away.
I realize this is chit-chat, not meet on board, but I wanted to tell you guys just in case any of you saw the same cruise and decided you really wanted to see this ship.
The prices for balcony guarantee are not too bad, and if you want to go more cheaply you can get insides or oceanviews. But there are so many balconies on the ship that, like Solstice, they don't even bother to mark the inside cabins down that much since there aren't enough of them to really talk about.
Anyone else going?

I don't think I'm seeing the prices right. The Inside and balcony is about the same price. I checked Royal Caribbean and the Gnome's website and they both have insides for $899 and Balconies for $899. For a 4 day that is a bit out of my price range. So I will hold off. But I would love to see this ship. Have a great time Paul and we want pictures please.

No, 1- because we dont like traditional dinning 2- because its just to many people , and even if the ship doesnt feel crowded, I dread getting on and off and 3- the number of days is just to short.
But I hope you guys have alot of fun and enjoy the trip.

Venice has a serious case of "Oasis Itch".
This little guy's a cruisatophyte. He's found on the deck near lounge chairs. Best treated with Lido-sporin cream.
This URL shows insides: $889, OV: $889 Balc: $919 - That is about 40% lower than the inaugural Dec 5th - 7-day cruise, BUT there appear to future 7-days for only about 10% more than the 4-day.
But I had to edit this message. when you click on specific dates you see the price is much higher than that lead-in price until you get to later 2010.

Paul: I have to wait until January 16 for our turn on Oasis. I don't even care if we step foot of the ship during port days. I don't think 7 days is going to be enough to see the entire ship.

I agree. I am hoping to get to sail on a two-day fam cruise before my cruise, but I agree that is not enough time. I think people want to know about this ship and I intend to be there to get as many pictures as I can.
