Default Thanks Beenie

So, today, while Lucy was asleep, I went to the 2 sites you mentioned. and read some price posts.....one was that, they bid $59.00, and ended up with the Renaissance. I have stayed there before, so I know the property, and even paying the $30.00 for parking....grrrr, I still came out ahead.

Thanks for always giving everybody a helping hand, and me, the push I needed xoxox I may try to rent a car there now..lol!

Hey Trip it is my pleasure! If you are going to rent a car try carrentals.com. I've always had great luck with them and I like I can make a reservation without holding it with a credit card or prepaying in advance. I've always gotten good deals especially in Florida

Katlady they are just websites that I use as aids to book travel on Hotwire and Priceline. They saved me a ton of money when I used to book travel for d/h every week

The websites are betterbidding.com and biddingfortravel.com

The will reveal what hotels you may be bidding on based on star levels location etc... and what some recent winning bids have been.
It is very helpful info

I have always been worried about booking on hotwire or priceline cause I was afriad of the hotel I would get. So I will check out these websites and try and figure it out. Thanks for posting these.

Beenie:

I love those sites, especially biddingfortravel. I've used it for years and recommended it many times. I turned Kuki on to it a long time ago and that is when he "Got Religion".

Here is an old article that people can use to help them using Priceline.

Kuki Get Religion

Take care,
Mike

Kat for some reason, this time, I had trouble just doing priceline....I have done both pricleine and Hotwire in years past, and you do have to give up control, I agree..but many sites, like Orbitz, etc, had prices on the mark, or close to the hotel quote , when I called

What I ended up with was, a 4 star hotel, including parking, grrr, at less then the Hyatt Place total price...

Now, I wanted to try to book a car with Hotwire, because they had amazing rates, compared to the agency sites, so I have to decide how I will get to Miami....because if I do Hotwire, they will no allow you to pick up at Lauderdale and drop off in Miami..so then a shuttle is needed...but if I rent through an agency, the price is higher, but I can drop off iMiami, and need a shuttle only one way..oy

Because we are driving to port I was hoping to find a hotel that would allow me to leave my car at the hotel for the cruise. Similar to a park and fly hotel, I just need park and cruise. Does Priceline or Hotwire have that? Mike thanks for posting a link to that article I will check it out.

Katlady, no you usually won't find that on Priceline or Hotwire, but if you google the city you're interested in you will usually find good results. Try this search criteria for example, "Long Beach park and fly", "Long Beach park and cruise" "Long Beach cruise parking"

Not sure what port you are going out of, but I am sure you'll find something.
