We are looking for a hotel near the cruise port in Miami. I was reading about the Hoilday Inn and was wondering if it IS close enough to walk to from this hotel?
I read a review and it said "right across the street"
Soooooo If anyone has been there or to another hotel near there, please let me know.
Hi,
The hotel is just across the street from Bayside Market Place, but you have to take a cab to go to the Port.It is not far you can see the ships from there.
Have a nice cruise.
MTL is correct, you just can't walk to the port, nor would you want too..check with the hotel folks to see if it is a flat rate or they should run a shuttle..shuttle times usually build up around 1030 a to 1pm, which if that is the case, take a cab
have a great cruise, if I can think of it, there is a really great funky (1930's decor) diner for breakfast that is soooooooooooooooooo good (and cheap)and only seats about 20, and is within a short walking distance from your hotel..your bellman will know
We stayed at the Holidaty Inn/Port of Miami when we went on the Freedom for Turkeys cruise, almost 2 years ago. At that time, they did not have a shuttle to the pier, but in the morning the cabs were lined up in front of the hotel to take you to the port. We were 4 adults and 2 children, with lots of luggage, and we all fit in one cab. The rooms are adequate for a one-night stay and the children loved Bubba Gumps at Bayside. We had breakfast in the hotel, but many people walked across the street to Bayside and found good places for breakfast.
We stayed there in December, and I agree it is good for a night or two.
If you need last minute things before your cruise, go out the front door, and to your left. Walk about three blocks, and down one of the side streets is a Walgreen's.
Out the back door is a Mc D's for breakfast. I am a Holiday Inn member, and when I noticed that the breakfast buffet was the normal Holiday Inn stuff, that you normally get for free, but for an outrageous price there, I asked the manager about it.
