It's after midnight and I am doing Laundry! We waited a long day today befor the machines were here, but now that they are here, I am so pleased with them! I love the laundry room make over and the new utility sink and just the whole lay out now, from the bigger entrance doorway ( double the size) to where the freezer is now etc. What a job, abit unexpected as I didnt plan it this soon after the other reno's, but I am so pleased!
I think this will be all for the next while, I am so tired!
RD I could never rollar skate, even as a child I never had the balance for things like that, and when I would try I usually ended up with a broken something
Plans for today. I just dont know. I am so tired, I almost want to just sleep the day away, but the weather is to beautiful for that. My mother is having friends come and see her in the afternoon, so I am excused from daughter duty
I may make Sam a nice dinner He sure did alot of work for me the last couple of days, and I never asked, but he just did it to make my house work space an easier space to work in , and I really appreciate it. Even the utility sink, he made a new base/platform for it, so it raised it to a level where I never have to bend my back, even a little, he literally measured what height I needed for mhy back, and I really appreciate things like that.
Have a great day everyone!

Its a good Sunday morning here in Brussels. I am recovering from yesterday's Brussel Beer Fest. They had over 200 beers to try and I tried my share. It would have been ok if these were samples but instead they were full pours/bottles.
I hope everyone has a great Sunday and a great week.

Morning All, from Montreal, where it is sunny and cool, but promises to warm up nicely. I hope so, because we're having lunch with some friends at an outdoor terasse on the waterfront. This will be another difficult goodbye to a childhood friend and his elderly mother.
Our days seem to be filled with goodbyes lately...we're also invited for dinner tonight to say goodbye to another friend who is also my Pilates instructor. I have been taking classes with her for the past 5 years and I will surely miss her weekly exercises for the body and mind and soul...
Delft, glad to hear all your reno projects are done for now. So just sit back now and take it easy, you've earned it! (So has Sam!).
I look around my empty house, and garage filled with boxes and dismantled furniture and think...it's only just begun.....
Good morning all from the East Tennessee foothills on a day throughout which we'll have scattered showers and little if any sun, albeit one with temps in the low seventies (and I can definitely live with that).
Going to take a little shopping trip to Johnson City to pick up a few things such as a new American Flag for the Holiday tomorrow and some items for an "indoor family picnic" in October for which Fran is in the planning stages. I'll also pick up a six pack of my older Brother's favorite, Stonemill Light Ale. He loves European style ales and discovered this following their move back after thirty years in the Isle of Man.
I love him dearly but find he's a tad pretentious and a bit too courtly and keep reminding him he doesn't have to continue using British verbiage and spelling anymore. He thinks Stonemill is from a little quaint brewery up North. I'm going to crack up at the look on his face when I tell him it's a Michelob brand. Needless to say I'll end up drinking the leftovers because I guarantee he'll have a new "best brew" when next we dine together.
Menu today is centered around a gigantic Porterhouse from which I've cut out the filet for Fran leaving the strip loin for me. When I had it cut I made sure to tell him not to even think about trimming the thing. Along with it will be a tossed salad with homemade creamy garlic dressing (just Helmann's mayonnaise, granulated garlic (as opposed to powdered) and light cream) accompanied by the obligatory baked potato (mine completely drowned in butter and sour cream), string beans and of course the yeast rolls. Dessert will once again this week be fresh hot apple turnovers dressed with vanilla ice cream (obviously, I'm addicted to hot turnovers with ice cream).
Have a wonderful day folks. Yours truly will be comfortably ensconced in front of the television set this evening praying it doesn't rain in Atlanta where the good 'ol boys will be running.
Good Morning CruiseMates!
Hope you all are having a wonderful Labor Day. I am just sitting here putting off the work I need to get done today. D/H should be home from playing golf soon. It rained last night and it's cloudy and overcast today.
I better start thinking what we're going to have for lunch today. Not much planned, just work, work, work. Blah!
