Hi Beenie Weenie, I took your advice and cruised the boards to check out the activities on some of the other group cruises, they sounded like so much fun we decided to join in. I have also been checking out Kuki's antics, yep Kuki I've been following you!!! We are looking forward to meeting everyone. The activities on some of the other cruises sound like big fun, target practice using a water pistol and your spouse? Just one question there.... do they make water assault rifles, a machine gun maybe? I'd need all the help I could get. Looks like I'll have to rethink my pre-cruise shopping list, lets see, a kite, water pistol, PJ's ,huhhhh.

I can see now we will have to fly Southwest sense they don't have all those extra baggage fee's. Wonder if can fit that in my carry-on or if it needs to go in checked baggage??

Believe me, super soakers are around and I know of a few cruisemates with them and have actually been the "receiver" of said soakings on a previous get leid cruise. Looking forward to this one too only hoping to stay a bit drier this time

Glad you got the aft cabin. I'm in a guarantee so It'll be awhile before I know where I end up. I'll let everyone know as soon as I do. That way you all will be able to change your cabin location to get away from me.

Just now getting around to saying I've booked this too (since 09/23/09) the wait is going to be long, but so was the Blogers Cruise and that turned out to be a blast! Really looking forward to this one, my son lives in San Diego and I will have some extra time planned to visit with him

Hi Everyone! We are back from our Halloween cruise on the Jewel. There were a few bumps in the sea(Like a totally dirty room and getting sick from sanitizers used) but all in all it was great.
Thanksgiving is over and on to Christmas. I'm giving the "kids" cruise certificates so that they can do a weekender. Cav son will have to enjoy the $1000 tool chest we sent to him. Yay. Shopping and shipping done.

Early and maybe a stupid question...Will everyone be flying into LAX? And will you be staying in San Pedro for the night before the cruise? It's getting close to 1 year, so I want to be ready to book a flight and motel, if the PRICE IS RIGHT!!! Thanks for your help, Susan

Its never to early for questions or cruise planning for me. We'll be flying into LAX, this will be our first cruise out of San Pedro so I'm not sure about where to stay yet. I've just been hanging out checking to boards for this cruise waiting to see if anyone has a good suggestion. Its been awfully quiet for awhile now.

I don't know about everyone, but no doubt many will be coming in through LAX (I will) and we'll definitely be staying a night in San Pedro for a pre-cruise night. Have to look at old documents and stuff to see where we stayed last time, but it was nice and convenient.

Also no doubt we'll plan a pre-cruise get together for those who are in that night.

Just "browsing" and thought I'd put in my two cents about hotels in San Pedro. We've stayed at both the Crowne Plaza: Crowne Plaza Hotel SAN PEDRO Hotels | LOS ANGELES HARBOR HOTEL | Welcome

and the Doubletree Marina: San Pedro Hotels | Doubletree San Pedro California Hotel

They're both very nice, but we prefered the Crowne Plaza. We had a room overlooking the port and the view was incredible with three ships in port ! It's also walking distance to shops and restaurants. The restaurant (and bar) in the hotel was good, too.

The Doubletree is further from the port and has nice views of a marina. Their restaurant was good too, but I felt it was overpriced.

They both offer cruise parking and a shuttle from LAX to the hotel (about $15.00 pp). I think they both also offered a special cruiser's package, but I don't remember for sure .

Booked this cruise with Nancy yesterday. After cruising with CM group on "Snooze Cruise" last month, it was a "no brainer" to book this one. It will be a fun, fun cruise especially being with so many of you I have cruised with before. i.e. Kuki, Mike M, BW and "Snooze Cruise" group to name just a few. If I missed anyone, I'm sorry, but "Senior Moments" occur quite regularly for me these days.

I also have an aft, but not big enough balcony for parties though. I understand that they are actually smaller on the Sapphire. Looks like Kuki will have to get a suite.

Gosh, Finally! It looks like attendance for this cruise is picking up. Will be good to see all of you again. We're bringing another couple from here and need to get them on the board for CM and, Guerry's brother, his wife and her sister and husband may be joining us too. Looks like it is shaping up. Can't wait to see all again. Planning on going in a day early but haven't decided where to fly into or where to stay yet. Kind of waiting to see what the rest of you are doing Time to get the boards busy since we are almost at the 1 year mark in a few weeks. Aloha
