Default A flight @ 11:40 after a cruise,can it be done?

Looking @ a direct flight home and it is at 11:40 at Miami airport after our cruise.

Does anyone know if it can be done or is the flight too early?

I think that it can be done. Just make sure the ship guest relations are aware that you have an early flight.

We did this last year, I THINK
My brain won't let me remember.

I know we did self debarktation(sp) and left the ship early. I know whatever the time was, we had plenty of time.

I am going to have to look back into all my posts, because I asked this same question and the time is on there.

Thank you so much all for your advice

You know in these situations self debarcation is a wonderful thing.

I am in a similar situation, when we arrive in Miami at the end of next months cruise, only difference is we have a noon flight out of FLL. I figure worst case scenario, if it looks like we won't make the flight, I'll just call the airline and we'll fly out later that day. No biggie. Or better yet we'll just stay in Florida . There are worse things than Florida in November.

I did find my 500 post on that subject from last year

As usual, I beat it to death

We left at 11:51 and made it with no problems at all. We did do self-debarktation and it was somewhat crowded. so we will do it again this time
There is a small differance in time....like 11 minutes.
We can do this.....

I don't know about Darlene's situation. but honestly I don't get nearly enough excitement in my life, so I thought the challenge of trying to catch a tight flight might really get my blood pumping .

But really all joking aside, airlines are cutting their schedules and making fewer flights in order to save money since the decline in travel. So our only chance at a direct flight home is to take the noon flight (at a price I am willing to pay), otherwise we are going to be bounced all over the U.S before we get home and it will be the middle of the night.

That is what I was thinking Beenie.

Sometimes it makes you feel like only a number.

Darlene,

It's doable. Either do self disembarkation or fill out the travel questionnaire, that you will receive a couple of days into your cruise, and let them know you have an early flight. You should also follow up at the Purser's Desk so you will be given early disembarkation tags.

If it's either take the 11:40 flight or pay a significant amount more, for a later flight or pay for a hotel, then do the 11:40 a.m. flight.

The earliest flight we've had out of Miami was 11:30 and it was not a problem.

Take care,
Mike
