Default OASIS, Scary Thought For Halloween

I just read an article in the paper which stated that Oasis will hold 6,300 passengers. Now that scares me!!!!

The article also stated that Oasis will reuse its wastewater. OMG

My wife wants to try the Oasis or the Epic, but I think that it is just going to be way too big for my taste.

Yes, 6,300 passengers plus over 2,000 crew. Not for me ... you'd be doing a heckof a lot of walking. Plus it's 1,200 feet long and 200 feet wide and 16 decks high!

I like the panamax size (1,900 pax Coral and Island Princess) though I'm soon to be going on the Ruby with over 3,000 passengers.

For sure count us all out, I have yet to meet one person in my "group" who wants to go on this ship including one very loyal RCI family.

one of the advantages of CruiseMates is that Paul and several other posters will be on the ship the first few weeks and their reports will be very helpful for the rest of us to make a determination about whether we will be cruising on her in the next year or so...I think it will be very interesting

I can't wait for my Oasis cruise!

I have always loved big ships. My favorite is the Freedom Class ships.

Maybe Oasis will be too big?? I'll find out in a few weeks.

Oasis might appeal better to family cruisers. I have a feeling Oasis will be a big hit with those with kids/teens.

I have yet to fear the unexplored.
Count me in, especially if somebody else is footing the bill.

The bigger the better. Bring her on.

She might be too big for the older crowd, but I can certainly handle the the big ships. It's going to be exciting and new and full of adventure plus loads of fun.

I have a DVD of the "Bridge and Engine Tour" for both Carnival Fantasy and Holiday. According to Carnival, both ships recycle their waste water, but not to worry, they don't use it for drinking.

While I have no concerns about the water, I do wonder about one thing. Will there be people specially trained to give passengers directions to the ocean-view areas?

We just got off the Mariner and everyone in our group (of 23 people) can hardly wait until the prices of the Oasis come down so we can book another trip!! I think the ship is awesome. We might be an "older" crowd, but the size does not scare us at all.

I loved the Freedom and want to see the Oasis!

So True!!

Here is a wonderful cruiser at the young age of 95 rock climbing...
She is now 97 and still cruising and going strong.

What a great lady! I think she would have a blast on the Oasis!

I survived sailing through a typhoon on my way to Vietnam. I made it in combat.
I am I afraid to sail on a big ship? NO!

I am only afraid that I won't be able to cruise as often as would like.
