Anybody else happen to catch tonight's (Fri Nov 20) episode of that intermittently interesting tabloid tv show "Inside Edition"? They had a segment-- lasting roughly a minute-- on the debut of "Oasis of the Seas". Just one small problem-- literally HALF the shots in the piece were of Carnival Dream, including the unmistakable funnel design, even the bottle of bubbly breaking across the bow with the Dream's name in six-foot-high letters! Aah, truly, friends, this was American journalism at its finest! "Well, how are we supposed to tell them apart? I mean, they're both big ships, right?"
Maybe next week, for a follow-up, they could do a story about Barack Obama, using mostly footage of Bryant Gumbel.
This sort of thing is really annoying to a true cruise fan.
I received this years DVD from P&O Australasia not long ago and there were all sorts of mixing and mis-matching of video's from different ships and last years DVD.
GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR...

Unfortunately, that seems to be the way T.V. journalism is going. I pity anyone who gets all their news, and information from T.V., radio, or the newspapers. You really have to dig to get the true story about anything! Just my opinion.....
Over the years, this has been a common problem, ussng stock footage of ships, with no thought given.....this time, with the 2 big lines birthing new ships, it seems just that they did not do their homework. I wonder if they will offer a mea culpa on Monday...I doubt it though;(
