I was in Wal Mart yesterday and it dawned on me that it might be a good idea to purchase a 2010 calendar I understand from one of Santa's helpers (my DIL) that my grandson is making each grandparent a personalized one for his school project, so that of course will be the best one ever and will take it's place of honor over my fireplace, but I would like to find one with a Cruising theme that is different from the "stock" ones that one normally finds so I can count down the days to my 3 outcoming cruises for 2010 (Venice Barge for Vogalonga Regatta in June, my birthday Maine Windjammer in August, Capital Jazz Cruise in October)
any suggestions
I'm going to go thru my Jazz magazines today to look for a Smooth Jazz theme calendar
Kat....thanks for the leads ...since you are the :: google queen ::...do you know if there is an online service who would build a custom calendar using pictures that i can download and will add the dates for the 2010 jazz cruises & island jazz festivals and the birthdays of some of my female cabin mates (past and future)
My hubby does calendars every year he using MS Publisher. He can personalize it with people's birthday dates and any other important dates with anniversary etc. MS Publisher has a calendar template so it's super easy to use. After you create the calender you can take it to a print center to have it printed and bound.
Staples does have a service like this. You can make a calendar with your own personalized photos. I'm not sure about customizing the dates you will have to check on that. Here is a link to the calendar section. Staples.comŽ. that was easyŽ.

Walgreens, walmart, CVS all do things like this. Also, online places are shutterfly, kodak and many more. You can upload your personal photos and I think customize each month to your liking. You might check out one of these sites. I have one done every year from whatever trip(s) we have taken throughout the year. Good luck.

I have to tell you about my calendar. It is from our car insurance guy. It arrived last year just before our cruise, and I didn't pay attention to it.
After we got back home, and after loosing Joe, I happen to find it in my desk drawer.
It is the most beautiful thing. All the months have beautiful photos with our names in the picture. For the winter, January one, our names are in the snow. ( Luanne+ Jim)
In the fall our names are a row of pumpkins with a letter in our names on it.
Each month is better than the next. It became even more beautiful when Jim left for Iraq. Every month I was reminded of Jim's love for me, and of mine for him.
Last week, as I turned it to the month of December, I decided a thank you note the the insurance man was in order. I bought the card, and when I went to post it, I found a new calendar for this year. Again, he will remind us of the love we have for each other.
They say that the best gifts are the small unexpected ones. I believe that is true here.
