Photography shore excursion

Hi all,
I posted this on the shore excursion board, but had no replies so I will try this board.

My hubby likes to take photos. We will be cruising the Carnival Splendor in May. The ports are Cabo San Lucas, Puerto Vallarta, and Mazatlan. Does anyone know if there is a tour company or shore excursion that is set up for photography. Something were the tour guide also knows about photography and can explain lighting, how to set up shots, and other stuff about the proper way to use a camera? Thanks for your help.

What might be better is for hubby to take some photography classes at your local community college. He could take them as non-credit, so they wouldn't be too expensive.

That way, he would have some basic skills, and wouldn't need to rely on tour guides, he would already be up to speed.

Just a thought!

I am wondering if there is anything to do around these ports with out reserving a shore excursion? The shore excursions are very expensive and we would like to book one or maybe two but would like to know if some of these ports you kind of have to if you want to do anything.

In Cabo San Lucas you have Medano Beach a quick water taxi will take you there. Also Cabo San Lucas has a place called The Glass Factory where before 2PM you can watch them blow glass.

Mazatlan you have the cliff divers (they work on tips) a taxi can take you there. The Divers don't start until enough people have shown up. You take also take a water taxi to Stone Island. Or take the Pacifico brewery tour, this tour is free. Here is a link to the information.

Puerto Vallarta I was looking at a day pass for the Dreams Resort. It's $45 for a cruiser day pass which is for 6 hours and (includes meals, drinks and beach towels). I have heard the Krystal resort no cost to get in but have to pay for food/beverages. You can also take a water taxi to Yelapa and depending on the time of year walk do to the water fall. In summer the water falls dry up. Yelapa is quite far from the dock about an hour or so each way. Under the side bar there is information on water taxis from PV to Yelapa.
