Morning Mates, from a carbon copy DULL day in Caribou River.
How can the weather not change one iota for 3 straight days?
It's dull, gray and cold, no rain, no snow, and certainly no sun. I've forgotten what the sun looks like!
We have been incredibly lazy these past few days, just sitting around the house either watching TV, DVDs, or reading, but today I have to get out before I go stir crazy!
We are invited to friends' for brunch, so that will be a welcome diversion.
They live an hour away, so maybe they will have some better weather!
Thinking of Todd and Fran and wishing them both a speedy recovery...
Mike, hope everyone is feeling better where you are too...
Good Morning CruiseMates!
Well it is a snowin' and a blowin' we should get about 3 inches of the white stuff today. In a little bit I will transform myself into nanook of Indiana and venture down's to the local True Value...home of the helpful hardware wenches... the gals that work down there are like John Wayne toilet paper...rough and tough and they don't take crap off of anybody. I need to buy some more pellets for the corn stove... I actually have some in the the back of my truck, but unfortunately we had lots of rain before the snow came and my tailgate is frozen solid so I can't get to it until it thaws a bit. I may also pick up that spray ice melter stuff and spray the tailgate to see if I can melt enough ice to open it up and get to my coveted bags of pellets.
I really was a snow grinch until I bought my 4x4...now I actually look forward to driving in the white stuff, because it is fun, especially on a day like today.
Not much else on today's agenda. I am continuing to pray and send all of the positive, healing energy that I can muster to Todd and Fran.
Everyone, I pray that you all have a lovely Sunday
We have a beautiful sunny day, inviting us to get out and about, today. We just got home from church, and I'm not sure what the afternoon will hold in store. Probably dinner with friends.
We went to our DS's house yesterday evening, and played with our PGB's (prescious grandbaby -- who's 5!) Wii. You haven't seen anything, until you've seen this wide bodied, vertically challenged lady, do the hula-hoop! Sure am glad there wasn't a mirror in front of me! We had such a good time.
Like all the rest, I'm awaiting good news from Todd about Fran's health. Prayers continue.
Everyone have a gread Sunday!
