Default Happy New Year's Eve!

Morning Mates, from a very snowy cold Caribou River N.S.
Well I got my wish, no more green! It snowed, or at least "blowed" all day yesterday. Not a lot of accumulation, but a lot of wind and no visibility for driving so we stayed in all day.
We're going out today to stock up on supplies because a "big one" is supposed to start tonight, possibly 30-40 cms of snow for New years.
Guess we won't be going anywhere tonight.

Wishing you all a very Happy New Year's Eve, no matter what you do.
If you're driving, stay safe, and Todd & Fran, know that we are thinking of you too - get well!

Good Morning Mates,

It is just beginning to snow - and I guess it will snow, at least thru Monday. It is supposed to be a fairly mild day, with not a whole lot of accumulation. That is good for the plans at Church tonight. At 7 we have a New Year's Eve service - then we will have a bonfire, and cook hotdogs, and marshmallows/s'mores.

Then inside for a movie - fellowship, snacks and then ring in the New Year.

I made the decision last night not to continue with the cymbalta. I spent two entire days in a drugged state in my recliner. While I felt little pain, it wasn't worth the dizziness, nauseous feeling, blurred vision, fatigue to the point I could barely keep my eyes open. I also found that my joints ached, especially my jaw and my ankles, which I found odd. And when I yawned it was very weird - I would get tightness in throat like I was going to vomit, but a my eyes would feel like they were either bulging or rolling back and I would feel like if I closed them I would immediately go to sleep - so bizarre, I can't even really explain it.

I just don't know what to do. I hate taking meds - and am at the point that I may stop the other pain meds also as I don't know that they are really helping all that much. I wonder how my liver is handling all this stuff. I need some direction. I know I can't get it from either my regular doctor or the neurologist. I am frustrated. Oh, well - perhaps this New Year will bring some sort of new ideas.

Wishing all our Mates a bright and happy New Year - filled with joy, hope, peace, love and beauty. You are a wonderful bunch of folk and I care for you all!

Good morning, Mates!

I awoke to a very foggy morning. Visibility in my small town is 1/4 mile, in Houston it is 0. Glad I don't have to drive anywhere, first thing this morning! Howevery, there is no snow in our forecast!

Today I'm treating my DIL and PGB (precisou grandbaby) to trip to the salon, for manicures/pedicures for all!

Happy New Year to all my friends. Stay safe this evening and may the new year bring you prosperity, health, and the warm love of your family and friends.

As I sit here pondering the new year, I'm still amazed at how I can have such a connection to people I have never met, simply through visiting this site. I simply can't describe how each of you have become a part of my life. Although this is a website about cruising, it is so much more, to me.

Everyone stay safe this evening, and Happy New Year!

Good morning everyone from Central Texas, where the fog as Darlene described has gone away.

We had a beautiful day yesterday, where it was so warm, I opened a few windows.

I have never been so glad to say good by to 2009. What a crappy year it has been.

I wish for all of you, a very happy New Year.

Todd, We love you.

Hi Kids,
Dull, gray, and the snow is a comin......till Monday they say, but, Maine and Rd it seems, will be the hardest hit....what's coming today is rolling up rte,95,like a snowbird coming back home!

Tonight we will all dine on Chinese food, ordered the other day...with this place you need to oder well ahead of time....you need a driver and a runner, that's how crazy this place gets....Aiden placed his order of chicken fingers, so he is a happy camper.

Darlene, you are so right...friends across the miles, has been the theme here from the beginning...Sharing our lives, and, the love of cruising formed a bond, so many of us did no expect, but, have come to rely on....

Raise a foo foo,and say a prayer for Fran and Todd, and all Cruisemates across the world...happy 2010! xoxoxox

HAPPY NEW YEARS EVE !!!
Snowed yesterday less then an inch and around 33F right now. It's going to drop to about 6F for tonight. Going for a early dinner and then home to play Wii with the family. We will be watching Dick Clark's New Years eve and ring in the new year with New York, not sure if I'll be up until midnight here in Chicago but I'll try!
Wishing all of you a very blessed and Happy New Year... stay safe!

Good morning everyone!

Yes, it's the last day of 2009 and I have a rollicking night planned. Betty is working and won't be home until 12:30 a.m. so I'll ring in the New Year with Kramer. We plan on barking at the deer in the field and then rolling in some really smelly stuff. The dog set the agenda. At least I'll get a kiss at midnight but I have to give him a dog treat to get it. I used the same incentive on a couple of my old girlfriends.

Seriously: Not much on the agenda for today. I do have to finish this post and call my doctor to get him to write new "3 month" prescriptions for the new insurance. The insurance is now imposing a $10 - $50 penalty on all scripts that are not filled through their mail-order pharmacy. You need to order three months at a time and the scripts must be written to dispense a three month supply. Doctor's have a hard time figuring that out. I asked my cardiologist to write it for a 3 month supply and still wrote it for "monthly" dosage. Hopefully, my regular doctor can figure out how to write: Disp-180 or Disp-360 on the script.

I wish everyone a Happy New Year and may 2010 bring a year of love, laughter and many cruises to each and everyone.

Take care,
Mike

Good Morning cruisemates! Sitting here in my office/patio, on a beautiful morning watching my gardening crew doing a wonderful job on my back yard (the maintenance crew is preparing the golf course).

As I snow bird, watching where they place the pin each day is my major point of interest

Temps are heading to 70 today, so of course I have a golf game on tap. Play just after noon, and back before the New Year's partys begin. Tonight planning on a nice quiet night with Mrs. Kuki. I got a flashflight, so we're gonna get naked turn out all the lights and I'll let her point out all my flaws, highlighting them with a flashlight.

I wish a hopefull, happy, and most of all HEALTHY NEW YEAR for all our buds at CruiseMates.

Default Happy New ear's Eve

Good morning from sunny Southern California. A lot of us got our weather wish: it rained all day yesterday.

Keith and I will spend a quiet evening at home. We never go out on New Year's Eve. Today, we'll probably go to the neighborhood Mexican restaurant and wish them happy new year.

Also wishing everyone on CruiseMates a happy, healthy, joyous new year, especially Todd and Fran.

Judy and Keith

Happy new year.

We are vacationing in Palm Coast Fl. and enjoying the weather. It sure is a lot warmer than back home in Connecticut.

Happy New Year to you all - especially wish much better health in 2010. I'm so glad that I've met quite a few of you on CruiseMates cruises - lots of fun then and hope to see you again.

As it goes for me, it'll only be on Princess because after taking my 3 day on the Ruby - I'm finally on Elite and Princess's perks are great.

Right at this hour it's 69 ... around midnight, we'll be getting thunderstorms into the AM so the Outback Bowl in Tampa may at least start out wet. In the past, I went to a few of those games - particularly liked the one where my Wisconsin Badgers (I'm an alum) beat Duke.

And, then we're in for a cold spell - highs of 50s for the next week - in spite of what's been said, I think your blood does thin out and I'll be wrapped up when I go out. Even Muffy (my Bichon) will wear a coat though she doesn't like stuff beyond collars.

May 2010 be a much better year for all. God bless.

Jane
