Pro Bowl in Miami

Since I don't follow the NFL, is the Pro Bowl really going to be the Sunday before the Superbowl? If so, that makes no sense!

The Pro Bowl has always been a reward/vacation for the selected players and their families. The game doesn't count (too many NFL games don't count.....), and it's always been on Oahu, as a vacation destination.

When the Pro Bowl used to be on ABC, I enjoyed watching it more than the Superbowl, as it was fun watching the players have fun. I liked seeing all the coaches in Aloha shirts, and the festive atmosphere of the game.

It hasn't always been in Honolulu.

that's true..but it was great tv advertisement for the state of hawaii and the airlines..folks in the cold northeast would be watching the game (and then followed by the PGA tournament in Maui) and want to go

the only reason it was switched this year is that the state did not want to increase it's financial contribution and the NFL called their bluff
