Default Some Really Nasty Weather Due This Week

Except for possibly Kuki and really southern Florida. Perhaps even ice here in San Antonio on Friday. I believe that this old verse is appropriate.

Thoughts For A Winter Night

When the ice is in your eyebrows,
And they're starting up the snowplows,
Then the South Pacific is the place to be.
When the blue birds run for cover.
Cause their happiness is over,
Then those tiny gem like islands are for me.

Then a dally down in Bali
Is the cruise that's up your alley
When you long to feel the balmy ocean breeze.
From the slopes of Mauna Loa
To the beaches of Samoa,
It is time to sail those shining southern seas.

So just forget it's snowing
And the numbing wind that's blowing
And just dream about a place that's warm and nice.
Then, if fortune smiles upon you
And if wishes really come true,
Then the dawn will bring a tropic paradise.

We've already had some nasty weather here Paul, and here is a picture to prove it!

May be nasty, but it's also pretty, and we're in for some more of it this coming weekend!

Expecting a low of 43 F burrr!!! It's okay the high will go to 60 F. Just took the dogs to the doggy park they had a blast. It was in the 50s and sunny. I have never shoved snow before in my life. Is it hard? It looks hard? Sometimes in the morning I have to warm up my car about 5 minutes before I drive. This doesn't happen the often however. Just remember property in California is very cheap right now. Come on over and help raise those property values.

Well, Kat, it depends on the type of snow you get......if it is the light, fluffy type it is as easy as sweeping your kitchen floor. If it is the wet, heavy type, it is a BEAST to shovel, much less use your snow thrower. We pray for the light, fluffy type here, but if we get a big snowfall, it is usually the wet, heavy type. BTW - it is about 10 degrees here.

I work as a Customer Service Rep for a major power and gas utility. It is the dreaming and planning for cruises that get me though the winters and storms. Only 4 days at work left until I am off. WOOOHOOO
