Default It's Monday .... Holidays are officially over!

Good morning, Mates!

Well, the holidays have officially come to an end, and everyone's schedules should return to normal. Even for us retirees. Hopefully you will have some warm memories to carry you into your work week.

My day will include the usual ... do laundry, bank run, pay bills, etc. Nothing exciting, but that is o.k.

We will be getting a dose of some of the winter weather, later this week. Sure am glad that I don't have to get out in it. We don't get freezing weather very often, thankfully.

My prayers to continue for Fran and others going through difficult times. Everyone have a great day!

Good Monday morning Darlene and all CM's to follow,,,,

Darlene looks like you and several of the CMers are getting close to heading off on a cruise,,

Just trying to stay warm here on the east coast of Va. It's 19 this a.m.

Back to work,,,back to school,,back to "normal" for most folks after the hollidays. I'm ready for it,,,the "normal" part that is.

Gonna try to un-decorate the tree this a.m. That's part of the getting back to normal part.

Prayers to those in need,,,and extra prayers going out to Todd & Fran.

Good morning Mates from a very cold Southern Ohio. The snow is blowing and the temp is around 10 with 20 being the high today if it makes it to that. Tge only thing getting me through this cold snap is knowing that in 18 days I will be heading south to Tampa for our cruise. It will be nice to be warm!
I have gotten my 6 yr old grandaughter off to school and little sister is sound asleep on the couch for her morning nap. I keep the little one on Mondays and this is how the routine goes. She should sleep for an hour or so then my play day begins. She brought along a bag filled with some of her new Christmas toys so we have new items to play with.
Hope Beanie had a safe trip home from Canada yesterday. RD is probably still digging out from all the snow. Texas is not suppose to be cold but sounds like it is right now. Hope all you folks stay good and warm. Prayers continue for Todd & Fran along with all our mates in need.

Everyone have a safe, warm and good day.

Good Morning Mates,

It is still snowing, but not as much. Snow forecast everyday thru at leas Friday, so that means no sun. Really can't determine when I last saw the sun - it has been awhile. Days, maybe weeks. Ugh!

Yesterday we went to church. Got home, ate some peanut butter toast - so boring compared to the Sunday meals that Todd usually posts of.
Then tackled the house. Worked until almost 11 - even dh and ds pitched in. Had so much organizing - still have so much more. Have one project I would like to get done today, before ds's girlfriend arrives. Then the rest can wait until next week. I hope I can find the energy and determination to continue on with the clean out. I threw out a couple garbage bags full of stuff and have two to bring to our town's version of Goodwill. I would love to just continue to hoe out. I find tho' it happens better under pressure....
Today I must devote most of my time to Church paperwork - I am about 3 weeks behind - and it is report time. I will have no time tomorrow as dh has an appt. with his jaw specialist, which is also mine. It is at 8:20 and it takes 2 hours to get there.

Tonight we go to my sil's for supper - both nieces will be there and they want to meet my son's gf - and one of the girls leaves tomorrow to go back to San Diego. I need to make a dessert. Not sure what, or when that will all happen.

My goal was to try to be less busy and frantic, and yet, I can't seem to not be either of those two things. How does one do it?

Have a beautiful day all - be safe and warm.

Morning Mates, and Jen, I don't know how you do it either!
I have not left the comfort of my house for at least 3 whole days, except to take the dog out and to shovel snow. I have done nothing but relax, read, sew, watch movies and cook and clean up a little. Still have to tackle the tree (undecorate) but I'm putting that off till last.

Today I have a meeting with the person in charge of my new job, and will find out when and what I will be doing. The program doesn't start till the 18th of Jan. so I imagine I will have some planning and scheduling to do....

Yesterday's storm left us with a good dump, and lots to shovel. We were out there till 11 last night shoveling after it finally stopped snowing. Somehow I don't mind so much, it is so peaceful and pretty. :-D

Temperature today is bearable at 1C or 33F. Mild and gorgeous out, but it would be nice if the sun would make an appearance! I can't believe it is so cold in Texas, as Paul said in his other post...

Todd and Fran, hoping for good news from you today, hang in there!

Hi Kids,
Bright and cold here, with light and fluffy snow....Seems like everyone but Kuki will be brrrrrr! I decided I will stay in, yet again!

Darlene,I am glad the holidays are behind us,and I hope 2010,is better all round for everyone. I for one, want to win the lottery, and then I will hire a cook, so, I won't have to worry about what's for supper,as I usually do, every day at this time, so I can defrost something I can dream....!!

Good thoughts going out,and make it a good one.

Good morning from Jupiter FL. Baby it's cold outside. Only in the low 40's this morning and a freeze warning for tonight. I really enjoy having the cool weather for short spells down here.

Not much on the to do list today except meeting my new dentist. I've been looking at potential cruises. We may just do a 7 day Caribbean, but I found a transatlantic to London that looks real tempting. May have to give Nancy a call to check some things out.

Prayers going out for Todd and Fran, and for all my CM friends.

Phyll

Yes, back to work. Including finalizing the CM cruise in TWO weeks!

It's cold in central Texas too. Going to get colder.

Good Morning cruisemates! Kind of nice to be sitting in one of the warmest places in north america, with highs for forecast near 73. Great temp... not too hot, and not cold.

Attended the football game yesterday, and Airzona sadly brought a snoozer for the fans. The private box was something though! Bad game, ate well

No real plan for today. May put the top down and drive around and look at some sale signs in the shops. Mrs. Kuki took my mother out, and spent the entire day with her, so have to get her a reward

Default It's Monday ... The Holidays are Officially Over

Good morning from Southern California. Our "warm snap" is officially over, as well, bringing lots of fun and way cooler temperatures.

Our day will be composed of switching over to the new insurance company at the clinic, the pharmacy, and a new gym for Keith. The new gym is smaller with no pool (which he doesn't use anyway) but no walk oval.

Gee, only 18 days till we cruise. I can't believe it!

I, to, am wishing for good health for Todd and Fran.

Judy

Got home safely last night about 7:30. Now overwhelmed by all of the projects swarming through my head. I am getting ready to undertake a big project to resurface all of my countertops and kitchen island with this spreadable stone called Granite. I have to run to the hardware store to pick up some more stuff before I begin, but I am working up the courage...because if I screw this up, I'll be getting new countertops .

I am also disenchanted with my fireplace. It is annoying me to no end... I am ready to rip it out , it's useless. I hate this weather...See this is the problem with this arctic weather, you have way too much time inside the house to sit around and look at the stuff that normally wouldn't annoy you because you're outside playing and having fun.

Well there's not much else going on at the moment. Waiting on the Doctor's office to call me back to schedule d/s's second surgery, this time to correct his left foot/calf. I am not looking forward to it, but figure may as well do it nowandthe sooner it is done, the sooner we can move forward anmd he will hopefully be back on his feet by the late spring. I am hopeful he'll be able to play baseball again this next season.

Not much else happening here. I am going to let the kiddos go play at the sitter's today since they haven't seen their buddies in over a week, while I go run my errands. Well I hope you all have a great day. Todd and Fran know that we continue to send our prayers and support your way and hope for more positive reports.
