Default It's Wednesday!

Just a quick check-in today, I'm on my way out for a 1 1/2 hr drive to Amherst to have the car checked and visit some friends. Weather looks good,
no snow or rain, and the sun might actually make an appearance! 0C is the temp.
Have a good day all!

Good Morning CruiseMates!!
Well the deep freeze continues. Although it has warmed up a few degrees lately, it is still really cold. Not enjoying the frigid weather. Tonight there is a winter storm warning, so snow is on the way. I wish it would warm up enough that we could go sledding and enjoy the snow a little. It is just too danged cold. I have really been fighting the urge to book a flight somewhere warm... This task has been made a bit easier by the fact that all of my cruisemates in the places I was thinking about visiting are reporting really cold temps... except for those of you in Arizona.

So I will stay put. Gonna save my money, since I am sure my tax bill will need to get paid sooner than later. Blah, blah blah! I still haven't heard back from d/s's surgeon's office. They haven't called back yet. I may try again today. I have lots to do today. The house needs cleaned up, laundry needs to be done. I need to run and get some pellets for the corn stove. I also need to get into the crawlspace and turn the gas off to the fireplace, since the fireplace guy is coming today to disconnect the gas to the fireplace, so I can burn wood in the stupid thing. I have a new grate with a blower on order, so hopefully we can get the thing to put some heat into the house rather than sending it up the chimney.

I also need to get to the bank and make a deposit for which I am thankful. Really that's about it in my exciting life today. Not all that exciting, but excitement can be over rated.

Thrilled to see Todd and Fran's life returning to normal and hope her lungs will clear quickly.

Hope you all have a great day!

Good Morning Mates,
A very fine snow is flaking down - no sun, yesterday or anytime soon.
Grey. Thankfully grey is one of my favorite colors, for that is all that I see. This year I added so much grey to my wardrobe - I think I really like it, but now am wondering if it is a subconscious event of my physce coming out. Guess it doesn't matter. I now own it, so I shall wear it - maybe I can use lots of accessories to try to brighten up my look and and maybe my spirits.

Yesterday was an extremely long day - up around 5 out the door shortly after six for the two hour drive to the jaw specialist - well it took almost 3 hours, as people decided they had to drive 10mph on pretty much bare roads. If they felt that uncertain they needed to pull off and become followers, not leaders.
Needless we were late - for the brief moment we actually had cell service we called to alert them of the delay. Of course that meant we had to wait at the Dr. Office - it was 11 before we got out of the office. Which meant rushing to get our errands done so we could get home.
Wanted to make my son and his gf a nice meal.
Which somehow we accomplished, and consumed in time for them go down to the local ice rink and don skates and warm duds. His gf is half Egyptian and as a Missionary kid has spent most of her time in the Middle East - Jordan mostly. So this was her first time on the ice. No spills, which is amazing.

So glad to read Fran is home.
BW I hope they get back to you today. I called one of my Dr. about meds the week of Christmas, and no word yet - so today I will call again and also must call the Neurologist and say I am not contnuing with the cymbalta. I am in a quandry - not sure what to do about these meds. I want to find ways to strenghten my back, to help eliminate some pain, not just take these drugs, that do not really block the pain, just dull my head for noticing it as much. I can't cope with it all any more.
To be perfectly honest, I feel I am close to a breakdown and it is very scary.

Well, guess I must get going - I am behind schedule on much, and that doesn't help my mental well being.

Prayers going out to many

Good morning everyone from a about to be very cold Texas. We are due to go down into the teens tomorrow, so I am getting everything ready for a couple of days of staying at home.

Had an interesting day yesterday. New Therapist to break in, and it was very draining to the soul. I came home barely able to think, and was asleep by 9:00 last night. Today I feel very refreshed, and ready to carry along with life.

Today I am going to get the house in order, and cook up a couple of meals, because with that kind of cold, and even a little bit of ice tomorrow, we will loose power. It is not a matter of if, but will. We are lucky to have a fire place, so I can keep us warm, and warm up stuff as needed, to eat.

It is so good to hear that things are settling down for our beloved Todd and Fran. Continued prayers for them.

Has anyone heard from Delf?

I hope all of you have a wonderful day.

Luanne

Good morning. Well were in for a good snow starting tonight into tomorrow most of the day. It's cold and cloudy and how I can't wait for March 26th when we leave for Florida. Had some dental work done to prepare for a bridge and now I have two teeth that hurt. I hade no problems before with the two teeth, hope they settle down. Thinking about joining a water fitness class over at the hospital two night a week. It sound like it might be fun, something other then the threadmill. Thats about it on my end. Have a blessed day!

Default It's Wednesday

Good morning from a chilly Southern California. Sleeping Beauty is still sawing wood, and Mr. Sujn is just peeking out of the clouds. I am off to the clinic in a few minutes for routine blood tests.

Prayers for Todd and Fran. I hope she stabilizes soon.

A late good morning from chilly Florida. I am jut 45 minutes north of West Palm and we got into the upper 20's this morning and will do so for at least one more day. Don't know when I will be able to put my orchards back outside but they are safe in the house for now.

Good afternoon gang,,,

Not much to report here on the east coast of Va. But yes it's cold here also,,,was 22 when we got up @ 6 a.m.

Wow Nancy that is really cold for Ft. Pierce area. We go to Vero every fall so I know the area well.
So much for global warming eh ??
Everyone around me has caught the coughing crud.
Dh has it, my daughter Leah, oldest grandson, my brother & his gf,,, so I am on a mission to avoid it which will be a small miracle.

Taking lots of Vitamin C and Ecunasia (sp) Knock on wood,,so far it's working.

Prayers to those in need,,,special ones for Todd aka Jeeves and Fran.

Stay warm folks !!!

Aerogirl, JOIN THAT CLASS! I have been going to an Aquafitness class ever since I moved here 4 months ago and I LOVE it! Even though the average age is about 65, the women there are a lot of fun, the exercises too, and they play music so we are always singing at each other in the water. I always feel so energized during and after, and the warm water makes me think of the Caribbean! Go for it!
