Morning Mates, it's Tuesday and I survived Monday! I am so glad I do not do office work on a regular basis, I'd never survive. Yesterday was a long day of administrative nightmares and I've got to go do it again today.
I can't wait till they set me loose in a gym full of kids next week, that is my idea of fun!
Meanwhile, the cold snap continues, it is -9C, feels like -17C or 1F. It is snowing lightly, but not much accumulation. There's always something in the air here, be it rain or snow flurries!
Must get moving, I've got Aquafitness before work today, to relax the muscles before I tense them up again!
OK I've seen enough snow for this winter....please stop! Woke up to more snow on the ground and roads. School is on a 2 hr delay so I have a first grader on the couch watching SpongeBob! Temps are due to get to around 25 today, with improvement as the week continues. We can only hope.
Today I need to make a grocery run or we are going to be on a real diet...no food. Shelves are running very low as I haven't been out of the house for almost a week now. What with the bad weather and then being ill all weekend just didn't get out. I am hoping to get started on a dry pack for our upcoming cruise, we fly to Tampa in 9 days....please have it warmed up down there.
RD= have a good day doing paperwork! I hope you enjoy your new job.
Prayers continue for Todd & Fran and hope they are doing better. Also for all those in need. Have a safe and good day everyone.
Good morning, RD and Sue, and the others to follow!
Well, I set the alarm last night, and then my internal alarm went off at 5:30 this morning. I figured 1 more hour wasn't going to matter, so I got out of bed. I have a dentist appt this morning. Got to get them pearly whites shined.
The warming trend has continued, with highs in the 50s, but the rain will be back (in a big way) by Thursday. Hopefully they will move out by Saturday. There will be a lot of people flying into the area for the Snoozeman Group Cruise, on the Conquest.
DH is playing golf today, to it will be a good day for me to begin packing for the cruise.
RD, enjoy the new job! Sue, be safe out there!
Praying that Fran is still improving. Delft is also on my heart.
Make it a good one, and keep warm thoughts!

Good Morning CruiseMates!!
Well it's a new day. I got up early with d/h, made him eggs and bacon, packed his lunch and sent him out the door. A little while later d/h woke up and came out and gave me some kisses...he is now camped out on the sofa wrapped up in a sleeping bag watching the morning cartoons. Soon d/d will wake up and the fun and games will begin.
Neighbor called last night and asked if I will cat sit for him while he's gone, no problem, then I need to go down to the babysitter's house at 2:30 and watch the kids while she goes and picks some more kids up at school.
I have lots of other mundane tasks that have to be done, but honestly it is all I can do not to just book a cruise and run away for a week or two. But I keep telling myself spring will here before I know it, I just have to be patient. Once the weather gets close to freezing again, we can go out and take a nice soak in the hot tub at night, I just have a bad case of cabin fever I think.
Well I hope you all have a great day today and we all start to thaw out a bit.
Good morning R/D, Sue, Darlene, B/W and all my beloved CruiseMates who follow. It was a bit warmer earlier this morning with the temp being in the twenties. But yup, both city and county schools are closed again today!
Most of us remember our parents saying, "Don't gripe, I had to walk two miles to school in a blizzard and it was uphill both ways!" That being the case, we did have more snow when I was a youngster than we have today even though the temps were the same as I remember. In any event, we went to school in conditions far worse than they are today and I don't remember anyone being killed or hurt. I'm beginning to think they might be fudging a bit in order to keep the heat turned down during this real cold spell as the temps around here for the past couple of weeks have been real budget busters and like with most municipalities, the coffers are almost bare.
To give you an update on Fran, things remain basically the same. She was a little better yesterday but it's evaporated today. She is back to being extremely fatigued. We're still hoping that it's just from trying to get over the pneumonia. I pray we're not deceiving ourselves but if we are, I think her condition is such that she's prepared to go back on chemo.
Well R/D, I'm certain that after all the administrative work today, you'll find it even more rewarding to be back with children. What a rewarding albeit tiring profession in which you work. Good luck!
Gosh Darlene and Sue, I wish I were going with you on a cruise!
B/W, I'm with you. Although I get out to go to the store it's not with my "faithful companion, Fran" and overall, I believe things are starting to wear on me. Just a bit of sunshine would certainly help but as it's flurrying outside, I doubt that it will be today.
Prayers continue for all those on the list as well as a prayer for Blessings on all y'all!
Good morning everyone. I am sorry I have not been on here for awhile. We have so much going on with the pre-trial.
I am going to be gone from posting on the boards for some time. I was informed that if you type in the name of the accused, you now get a link to Cruisemates. I am so sorry this has happened, but it also reminds me that what we say can be used against us.
We are doing fine, and get stronger everyday. One day soon this will be over with, I hope.
My love for all of you is strong. Take care and I will talk to you in March.
Good morning from Southern California. The sun just came out, although there are clouds. Ma Nature is getting ready to rain on us tonight.
Looks like we might be driving to San Diego next week in the rain with a basically seasonal (for once) wet week.
Keith starts his three-day session with a trainer at the new gym. I have a doctor's appt. and will pick up a new supply of test strips from the diabetes nurse and give her the wrong ones ordered by the doctor. We'll get that straightened out, also.
Good luck with the new job, RD. Am thinking about you and Fran, too, Todd.
A wonderful, but cold Tuesday, looms on the horizon. Right now, every time the phone rings, Rob and I think it's "the call". Our daughter, Leslie, is due to have her baby any day now. I literally run washes every day. It's the waiting for a great event that's sooo hard.
