Miami hotels offering parking & shuttle

Looking for suggestions on hotels near Port of Miami that offer parking & shuttle service during the cruise.

Appreciate any input.

Parking anywhere close to the pier in Miami is at a premium, so any hotel parking comes at a pretty steep daily rate.

Unfortunately this situation in Miami, compared to many other cruise ports is not near as easy to deal with.

Just a suggestion since you live in Jacksonville, I would do a one way car from Enterprise and drop the car off at their office at Radisson on Biscayne Blvd. Then take a cheap cab ride to the port from there. It would probably be a lot less expensive than paying for parking. then do the reverse when you return or Dollar rental car is even cheaper but their office is near the MIA airport which is quite a bit further from the port but they do offer a free shuttle.

I usually book Dollar through carrentals.com

You got that right Beenie! Parking at the port of Miami is $20 per day now. (Totally out of hand in my opinion!) I don't sail out of Miami, unless there just isn't any option, like my upcoming cruise on "Liberty" which is a reunion cruise. That weekend is also a playoff game weekend, so all the already expensive hotels are 2,3, and 4 times more expensive! I'll be parking at the port, and smiling all the way to the ship.

Well, for what it's worth.......if you happen to have a valid handicap placard, and something to prove it belongs to you, parking at the Port of Miami is complimentary. I have an email from a POM employee that I'm taking with me for our next cruise on January 31st. If it works, it will save me $280 in parking fees. If they won't honor it, I'm in deep you know what.

Through my research, a while back... shuttles are almost unheard of too

Miami is not freindly to cruisers who want to park their car. I found one lot near the airport that has cruise parking the cost includes a shuttle service to and from the port. Use UnitedAirportParking . com, the lot is called CBM you can completely prepay of just make a deposit. It definitely is not a fancy lot but it is much less expensive than the port.

FirstCoastCruiser we stayed several days before

our cruise at La Quinta Inn airport east Miami

nice Hotel...free wifi,and continental Breakfast

free parking while you cruise!

FREE! Shuttle to the Port,but you are on your own getting back

paid 25 bucks(SUV Taxi) from the port back to the hotel

not a bad deal,and my SUV was safe and sound!

Only thing no restaurants witin walking distannce from the hotel

Did see an old Bennigan,but it was closed down

We also stayed at the LaQuinta. It was a nice hotel. We flew into Miami so we didn't have to park, but there were several in our Roll Call who used the parking with no problems. Since you have a car you don't have to worry about any restaurants being in walking distance. We got in so late that we just ordered pizza from Pizza Hut and went to bed

You might want to take a look at parksleepfly.com

There are a few hotels that offer a one nite stay along with upto 14 days of parking(depending on hotel).

Fairfield Inn by Marriott is only $109. for 1 nite and parking plus 13% tax and $4.95 fee.

Like the others have mentioned Laquinta is a good choice too.

Hello everybody

I also have a question. I am a first-time-cruiser and I am going to go on a cruise starting from Miami. I fly in one day earlier to the cruise date and would like to know which hotel would be best to have a shuttle to the ship and still be close to the airport. If that is possible at all. I have never been to Miami before. The reason why I ask is that I was hoping that I don't need a car just for that one day. Unless it is recommended?

We just stayed at La Quinta before our cruise last week, and it couldn't have been better. Price was right, staff was great, rooms were nice, shuttle service was excellent, only 15 minutes from downtown/South Beach, and it's basically across the street from the airport. Watch out for low flying planes!
